Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate removing powder which is peeled from a welding wire and accumulated in the conduit cable in continuous automatic welding by a robot of MAG or CO2 welding and removing spatters of the welding torch. CONSTITUTION:The air of the factory line pressure is raised to more than twice in pressure by an air driving booster and filled up and accumulated in a tank, an electromagnetic stop valve 7 is operated on occasion to allow the air to flow in from the base of the conduit cable 4 and allow the air to flow out quickly from the welding torch 1 tip through a welding gas channel, the powder is caught in and removed by an air current of the high pressure air flowing at high speed in the conduit cable 4 and the spatters stuck to the tip of the welding torch 1 are blown off and removed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to cleaning of a relevant portion of a welding torch in continuous automatic welding by a gas metal arc welding (GMAW) robot such as MAG welding or CO 2 welding, and in particular, peeling from a welding wire in a conduit cable. The present invention relates to a device for removing powder and for removing spatter adhered to the tip of a welding torch by blowing it off. The conduit cable guides the welding wire to the tip of the welding torch and serves as the welding gas flow path. It is a tight coil spring steel wire with an inner diameter of about 3 mm so that it can be bent freely in response to changes in posture during the welding process. A cable is formed and is inserted into a pressure resistant hose. The welding wire is pushed out to the tip of the welding torch by the feeding roller 10 inside the cable and fed out. In the process, the welding wire and the cable are rubbed and the surface of the welding wire is separated into powder and accumulated in the conduit cable.

2. Description of the Related Art In continuous automatic welding of mug and CO 2 by a robot, powder separated from a welding wire sent through a conduit cable during the welding process is accumulated in a conduit cable to send out the wire and generate welding gas. It is desirable to remove it as it interferes with the flow path. Further, spatter attached to the tip of the torch interferes with the flow path of the welding gas and is therefore desired to be removed. Conventionally, the powder accumulated in the conduit cable cannot be removed unless the welding torch is removed from the robot and the torch and the conduit cable are separated and disassembled.

Further, the removal of spatter from the nozzle portion is carried out by inserting a wire or cutting blade from the tip of the nozzle to rotate it, inserting the nozzle into an ultrasonic vibration tank, spraying shots to the tip of the nozzle, or the base of the torch. There is a method in which air at the factory line pressure is blown from the side through the welding gas flow path to blow air from the inside of the torch and blow out spatters.

In order to remove the powder accumulated in the conduit cable, the welding torch is removed from the robot, and the conventional method of separating and disassembling the torch and the conduit cable removes the welding work by the robot. In addition to being unable to do so for a long time, there was a drawback in that all the most difficult, skillful and time-consuming teaching of Loboto had to be done.

Even in the conventional removal method in which the spatter adhered to the tip of the welding torch is blown off by air through the gas passage, the air pressure in the factory line is generally about 5 kg / cm 2 for safety and economical reasons. However, in the conventional method that blows out the factory line pressure air from the nozzle tip through the gas flow path near the torch tip to remove spatter,
Air uses a special nozzle that has been treated to prevent spatter from sticking to the nozzle surface, such as Teflon coating, because the flow velocity is attenuated in the process of passing through a complicated and narrow welding gas flow path inside the torch and the force to remove spatter is small. However, the durability of the coating process itself was short, and it was limited to limited applications.

EXAMPLE Air in a factory line is connected to the device of the present invention by piping. The apparatus of the present invention is configured so that the inflowing air has a left-right diameter of the piston of 2: 1 as shown in FIG. An air-driven booster 5 for increasing the pressure to 4 times, and an air tank 6 for filling and accumulating the boosted air.
A solenoid valve 7 for cleaning the welding torch that opens and closes the outflow of the air accumulated in the tank, an air circuit connected to the base of the welding torch 1, and a conduit cable that opens and closes the outflow of the air accumulated in the tank. An electromagnetic on-off valve for cleaning 8, an air circuit connected to the root of the conduit cable 4, a welding gas electromagnetic on-off valve 9 for flowing welding gas into the conduit cable 4, and a circuit connected to the root of the conduit cable 4. It is configured. Therefore, the factory line pressure air of 5 km / cm 2 pressure connected to the device of the present invention is automatically increased to four times about 20 km / cm 2 , and the air tank 6 is pressurized.
Is filled and accumulated.

In the above condition, the conduit cable is cleaned by activating the conduit cable cleaning electromagnetic on-off valve 8 to start the conduit cable 4 from the root of the conduit cable 4 to which the air filled and accumulated in the air tank 6 is connected. Nozzle 2 through the welding gas flow path inside
Drain from the tip of. Since the pressure of the air is increased to 20 km / cm 2 , even if the pressure is reduced through the narrow welding gas passage in the conduit cable 4 or the welding torch, the air still flows out at a sufficient flow rate, and the welding wire in the conduit cable is discharged. The powder peeled off from the welding torch is caught in a high-speed air stream and discharged from the tip of the welding torch to clean the inside of the conduit cable. In addition, the contact tip (not shown), which is attached to the tip of the welding torch and serves as a power supply and guide for the welding wire, and the spatter adhered to the tip of the welding torch are also blown away by this air flow. In welding such as thin plate welding, in which the welding current is small and the generation of spatter is small, the inside of the conduit cable and the tip portion of the welding torch are simultaneously cleaned only by the operation of the electromagnetic opening / closing valve 8.

In the case of welding with a large amount of spatter due to high current welding such as thick plate, when the electromagnetic opening / closing valve 7 for cleaning the welding torch is operated, the air increased in pressure to 20 km / cm 2 is directly welded to the torch. Since it is discharged from the tip of the nozzle 2 through the first welding gas flow path, the rate of decompressing the air is small, the discharge speed of the air is high, and the spatter adhered to the contact tip or the nozzle 2 is strongly removed. Therefore, by operating the electromagnetic open / close valve 7 and the electromagnetic open / close valve 8 at appropriate times, it is possible to remove the spatter of the welding torch and the powder in the conduit cable, and clean the conduit cable and the welding torch.

As described above, in the cleaning device for the arc welding torch of the present invention, the air that has been pressure-doubled by the air-driven pressure booster at the factory line pressure through the welding gas flow path of the welding torch is at the root of the conduit cable. The powder in the conduit cable is removed by being entrained in the high-speed air flow by flowing it in from the tip of the welding torch, and it can be easily cleaned. , The continuous welding time by the robot can be increased. Further, since the air-driven pressure booster increases the pressure more than twice the factory line pressure, the structure of the entire apparatus can be made compact and simple, and the installation space can be reduced.
