Abstract

PURPOSE:To partially coat a resin molded product so as to be able to develop a beautiful parting line. CONSTITUTION:Ultraviolet curable strippable paint 6 is applied to the surface of a bamper 1. Next, a screen 7 is applied to the surface of the bamper 1 at a scheduled place where partial painting is performed and irradiated with ultraviolet rays by a lamp 8 to cure the paint 6 to form a protective film 3. After the screen 7 is removed, water is injected on the surface of the bamper from a nozzle 9 to remove the uncured paint 6 and drying is performed to expose a painting scheduled surface. Next, surface treatment is applied to the painting scheduled surface and the coating and drying of a conductive primer 4 and topcoat paint 5 are successively performed. Thereafter, the protective film 3 is peeled and removed.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Problems to be Solved by the Invention JP-A-60-24826
The technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 5 has a problem that it takes time because the masking is manually applied, and the close-up is not beautiful because the individual attachment varies. In addition, JP-A-61
In the technique of Japanese Patent Publication No. 249573, if the parting line is cut by a laser beam by hand, it is difficult to be beautiful and there is a risk that the resin molded product may be damaged.
In addition, there is a problem that the cost is increased when the robot cuts the laser.

Further, when a thermosetting or room temperature drying strippable paint is used, a heating step or a drying step of this paint is required, and a storage space and waiting time for the resin molded product for this are required. There was a problem. In particular, when strippable paint that is dry at room temperature is used, much space and time are wasted. In addition, since the thermosetting paint is heated to about 80 ° C. even when it is dry at room temperature, the resin molded product made of polypropylene, for example, may be deformed. There is also a drawback that the mounting accuracy is reduced.

[Function] Since the boundary surface for separate coating is set by using the ultraviolet curing type strippable paint, a beautiful parting line can be obtained. Moreover, since the paint is hardened by ultraviolet rays in a short time, a storage space for waiting for hardening is not required and the processing time can be shortened. Furthermore, since heat is not applied during ultraviolet curing, there is no dimensional accuracy error due to thermal deformation.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2B, the screen 7 is placed at the place where partial coating is to be performed, and the lamp 6 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to cure the paint 6 and the protective film 3 is formed.
To form. Since this paint 6 is hardened by ultraviolet rays in a short time, there is no need for a storage space for the bumper 1 to wait for the end of hardening. The paint 6 does not need to be heated because it is a UV-curable type.
The dimensional accuracy of does not decrease. The screen 7 can be omitted by using the lamp 8 capable of adjusting the ultraviolet irradiation direction.

After removing the screen 7, the uncured paint 6 is removed by jetting water from the nozzle 9 as shown in FIG. 1C, and the paint 6 is dried to expose the surface to be painted. Since the boundary line between the protective film 3 and the surface to be coated appears as if it were covered with the screen 7, it is much more precise than the boundary line with the conventional masking tape 2.

In the partially coated surface thus prepared, as shown in FIG. 3G, the boundary between the coated surface of the conductive primer 4 and the top coating material 5 and the exposed non-coated surface of polypropylene is clear. It's beautiful. In addition, since the non-painted surface is not pretreated, the surface is smooth and stain-resistant.

As described above, according to the method of the present invention, the ultraviolet ray-curable strippable paint is used to set the separate boundary surfaces, which is far more beautiful than the manual masking tape. You can draw a parting line. Further, since the paint is hardened by ultraviolet rays in a short time, there is no need for a storage space for the resin molded product to wait for the end of hardening, and the processing time can be shortened.
Furthermore, since the ultraviolet curable paint does not require heating, the dimensional accuracy of the resin molded product does not deteriorate due to thermal deformation.
In addition, since the surface treatment is not applied to the resin surface covered by the protective film (the part that becomes the non-painted surface), the protective film can be easily peeled off. It is maintained as a face.
