示することが必要になる。このような光デイスクの性能
検査は通常、デイスクドライブに光デイスクを装着して
当該デイスクドライブを駆動し、これによつて光デイス
クに設けられたセクタ番号を読出して欠陥位置を調べる
作業とともに、光デイスクの表面を例えば顕微鏡等を介
して目視にて確認し、欠陥がある場合にはその位置を明
示するマークを当該光デイスクに付加する、いわゆる目
視検査をおこなつており、デイスクドライブによる検査
と目視検査の双方を併せて欠陥を解消するようにしてい

ライブに装着して、マークが付加されたセクタ番地をセ
クタ番号の検出によつて調べるという面倒な作業が必要
となり、それ故、性能検査の能率の向上が見込めない不

として目視することができる。そして上記短線のうちの
1本は、例えばレーザ光により穿孔された直径数μm〜
2μm程度の球状凹部が数100集合することによつて形
成されている。5,6はプリグループ2が設けられている
記録領域の外部に、かつセクタ番号が0番の番号データ
3a0の位置に関連してそれぞれ設けた標識で、標識5は
プリグループ2の外周側に、標識6はプリグループ2の
内周側に配置してあり、番号データ3a0に類似した形
状、すなわち1つの短線の長さを番号データ3a0,3a1,3a
2,……3a63における短線の長さとほぼ等しくしてあり、
例えば1000トラツクにわたつて形成してある。このよう
な標識5,6は例えば番号データ3a0,3a1,3a2,……3a63の
形成時に、当該番号データ3a0,3a1,3a2,……3a63の形成
に用いたレーザ光により一括して作成することができ

光デイスク1の記録領域内に存在する欠陥等がどのセク
タ番地に含まれるものであるかは、基準位置である番号
データ3a0から順に数えることにより目視によつて確認
することができ、したがつてこの場合、前述した欠陥位
置を示すマークを付加した後はデイスクドライブに当該
光デイスク1を装着し、デイスクドライブを駆動するこ
