Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically clean a filter and prevent dust from being accumulated up to a certain level in the filter by determining the continuously usable time of the filter with a control means based on respective information from a dust sensor and a processing means. CONSTITUTION:A control means 16 controls to drive a driving shaft 6 on which a filter is extended, a brush 12 for removing the dust of the filter and a fan 14 for exhausting the dust, respectively, based on information from a processing means 15 for calculating the continuously usable time of the filter. During cleaning of the filter, the quantity of the dust in an exhaust air is monitored by a dust sensor 13. When the quantity of the dust reaches a specified level or lower, the continuously usable time of the filter optimum to the state of a room is determined by the control means 16 from the total quantity of the dust so that a cleaning can be carried out.
