[Prior Art] A lubricant film is formed on the surface of a magnetic disk. As a coating method, a spraying method in which a lubricant is sprayed on the surface or a magnetic disk is immersed in a lubricant solution tank. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 56-22222 is such that while a magnetic disk is rotated, a certain amount of a lubricant is sprayed onto the surface in synchronization with this rotation. However, the method is different from that of the present invention.

A conventional technique of the same dip method as the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The disk-shaped magnetic disk 1 is held vertically by contacting the outer circumference with a support base 4 arranged on the same circumference on the magazine 3. For details, as shown in FIG.
A V groove is formed on the support base 4, and the magnetic disk 1 is held in a state where the outer peripheral corner portion is in contact with the inclined surface of the V groove. Although FIG. 4 shows the case where two magnetic disks 1 are held, the present invention is not limited to this. Lubricant tank 2
A solution 5 in which a lubricant and a solvent are mixed is stored inside.
The magnetic disk 1 held as described above is vertically immersed in the lubricant tank 2 and then slowly pulled up to form a lubricant film having a uniform thickness on the surface of the magnetic disk 1. The solvent diffuses when it is pulled up.
However, the corner portion of the magnetic disk 1 and the V
Since a relatively narrow triangular crossing portion is formed between the inclined surfaces of the groove, a lubricant pool 6 is formed at the crossing portion when the magnetic disk 1 is pulled up. As shown in FIG. 5, the pool 6 diffuses over the outer peripheral surface of the magnetic disk 1 with the passage of time to form a diffusion portion 7. In the diffusion portion 7, the thickness of the lubricant becomes thicker than the other portions, and uniform coating cannot be obtained.

When a signal is stored in the magnetic disk 1 by a magnetic head (not shown), the two are made to be close to each other with a minute gap, but as described above, when the lubricant film is nonuniform, the film is thick. The diffusion part 7 is attracted to the magnetic head side, which causes a problem that the magnetic disk device is not activated.

The present invention solves the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for applying a lubricant to a magnetic disk by eliminating the lump 6 and forming a lubricant coating of uniform thickness on the surface of the magnetic disk. To do.

[Operation] The lubricant accumulated between the corner portion of the outer circumference of the magnetic disk and the inclined surface of the support base 2 is absorbed by the member made of an oil-absorbing material when the magnetic disk is pulled up, and therefore the above-mentioned diffusion portion does not occur .

As shown in FIG. 1, the support base 4 is formed with a V groove for contacting the corner portion of the magnetic disk 1. In this embodiment, the support base 4 is formed along the V groove on the contact portion side. The oil absorbing member 8 is fixed. The oil-absorbing member 8 is made of a material capable of absorbing a lubricant, such as Japanese paper, filter paper,

FIG. 2 shows the oil-absorptive member 8 in the film forming process as described above.

In the state before the magnetic disk 1 is immersed, that is, in the initial state (shown by A), the oil absorbing member 8 does not absorb the solution at all, and therefore the oil absorbing ability is 100%.
Next, when the magnetic disk 1 is immersed in the lubricant tank 2 (indicated by B), the solution is sucked into the oil absorbing member 8, so that the oil absorbing capacity becomes 0%. The solution is formed by mixing the lubricant and the solvent as described above. Next, when the magnetic disk 1 is slowly pulled up from the lubricant tank 2 (indicated by C), the solvent sucked into the oil absorbing member 8 evaporates, so that the oil absorbing ability of the oil absorbing member 8 recovers rapidly, Return to 100%. A pool 6 is formed at the contact portion between the corner portion of the magnetic disk 1 and the oil absorbing member 8 as in the case of the conventional technique, but this pool 6 is not absorbed by the oil absorbing member 8 in the C state. Therefore, the oil absorbing ability of the oil absorbing member 8 is slightly lowered (shown in D). Since the pool 6 is sucked into the oil absorbing member 8 as described above, the diffusion portion 7 (FIG. 5) as in the prior art does not emit light at all. As shown in FIG. 2, the oil-absorbent member 8 is maintained in the state where the oil-absorption capacity is close to 100% in the next work waiting state (shown by F), and the same steps as above are repeated.

In this embodiment, the oil-absorbent member 8 fixed to the support base 4 is adopted, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the contact portion between the magnetic disk 1 and the support base 4 may be made of an oil-absorbent material. For example, the entire support base may be made of an oil absorbing material.

[Effects of the Invention] As is apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the effect that the lubricant film on the surface of the magnetic disk can be formed to have a uniform thickness and the attraction to the magnetic head can be completely prevented is enhanced.
