However, there is a problem that the pump casing is damaged due to erosion caused by the impact liquid generated when the water pump flow rate characteristic is deteriorated and the cavitation disappears.

Rotates in the direction of the arrow a to pump the cooling water in the cooling water passage 7. At that time, in the minute gaps 14 and 17 between the engine body 2 and the edge portion 12 and the outer peripheral end portion 15 of the impeller portion 10 which are close to the engine body 2, the inclined surface 13 and the chamfered portion 16 cause the impeller portion 10 to rotate in the rotational direction ( The pressure P in front of the arrow a) is fed. By feeding the pressure P, it is possible to prevent the negative pressure generated in the minute gaps 14 and 17 at the time of high rotation of the pump impeller 8 and prevent the occurrence of cavitation.

き、ウォータポンプの耐久性を高めることができる。(Effect of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, in the pump impeller of the water pump including the impeller part for pumping the cooling water and the fixing part for fixing the impeller part, the impeller part adjacent to the pump casing. The forward compression of the impeller portion in the rotation direction is sent to a minute gap between the entire height of the outer peripheral end on the front side in the rotation direction and the entire length of the edge portion adjacent to the pump casing. The pressure feed prevents the negative pressure generated in the above gap when the pump impeller rotates at high speed,
It is possible to prevent the occurrence of cavitation, stabilize the flow rate characteristic of the water pump, prevent erosion due to the shock wave generated when the cavitation disappears, and improve the durability of the water pump.
