However, since Styrofoam is made from petroleum, which is a finite natural resource, as a raw material, it should be avoided as much as possible as a packaging material that is discarded as it is if it serves one transportation purpose. desirable. Also, from the viewpoint of measures to dispose of municipal waste, which is becoming more and more serious, Styrofoam is bulky, transport costs are high, it is not suitable for landfill, and if burned, it will generate high temperature and damage the incinerator. Having problems, the emergence of some alternative to this is desired. On the other hand, a piece made by sticking corrugated cardboard pieces is preferable because it is made from reproducible wood, recycled paper is easy to recycle, and disposal problems are far less than those of Styrofoam. The work is labor intensive and costly, and the buffer function is insufficient. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to use cardboard as a raw material, to make it efficiently and inexpensively, and to provide a cushioning function that is superior to conventional foam polystyrene packing and a laminated block body of corrugated cardboard pieces, but the design of the details can be changed appropriately. By doing so, it is possible to provide a foldable corrugated cardboard packing whose cushioning characteristics can be easily fine-tuned so as to be optimal for each use, and which can be compactly folded for storage / transportation.

To fold up the packing 201 shown in FIG. 5 from 1,
First, as shown in FIG. 2, holding both ends of the corrugated board 101, both main folds A, A are once bent downward, and creases are formed so that the cushioning ribs 12 can be easily raised. Then
Next, when both main folds A, A are bent upward at a right angle, the respective buffer ribs 12 and the cut-and-raised auxiliary pieces 14, 14 continuously provided on both sides of the buffer ribs 12 face each other on the left and right outer walls. It is squeezed between pieces 2 and 3. Therefore, each of the cut and raised folds I, which are easily bent, are bent upward, and the main folds A,
A is bent downward, and the respective cushioning ribs 12 stand up by themselves.

Next, the two folded packings 201,
As shown in FIG. 6, using 201, for packing a substantially rectangular parallelepiped packing article 300, such as an electronic book, which is extremely sensitive to external shocks in a cardboard box 400. The cushioning action of the packing 201 will be described.
In the packaged article 300, the fitting recesses S of the packing 201 are fitted into both ends in the longitudinal direction thereof. In other words, both end portions of the packaged article 300 are in a state where their four peripheral surfaces and end surfaces are in contact with the facing side surface pieces 6, 7, 16, 16 and the bottom surface 8, 9 of the fitting recess S, respectively. In this state, the cushioning ribs 12 are orthogonally applied to the outer side surfaces of the facing side surface pieces 6 and 7 and the bottom surfaces 8 and 9, and the recesses are formed in the outer side surfaces of the facing side surface pieces 16 and 16. The cushioning ribs 12A, 12A formed by bending the strip-shaped portions 4a at the front and rear ends of the forming piece 10 into a Z shape are orthogonally applied. Therefore, the packaged article 300 is reliably protected from the impact force exerted during transportation and handling with the aid of the cushioning ribs 12 and 12A having the cushioning characteristic peculiar to the corrugated board.

Also, the ridges of the top surfaces 4 and 5 of the packing 201,
In this case, buffer slits 20 are provided on both the left and right edges of the fitting recess S, respectively. The left and right sides of the fitting recess S have a double wall structure and are relatively short in length, and therefore have a fairly rigid structure. It can be changed to a flexible structure, and the cushioning function of this part can be significantly improved. The degree of this flexible structure can be finely adjusted so as to be most suitable for each packaged article by appropriately changing the length and width dimensions of the buffer slit 20 based on experimental data.

Further, the distance between the plurality of cushioning ribs 12 and the shape thereof, for example, the height dimension thereof can be arbitrarily changed, the position and width dimension of the cushioning rib 12A can be changed, or the cushioning ribs can be changed. Even if two sheets of 12 and 12A are stacked, it is possible to easily change the cushioning characteristics of each part of the packing 201 subtly so as to match the structure and shape of each packaged article. Therefore, even if a strong impact force is exerted during the handling or transportation of the packaged article 300, this impact force is effectively attenuated by the packing 201 as long as the impact force remains below the level assumed at the design stage of the packing 201. The packaged article 300 is reliably protected from impact. When an impact force equal to or higher than the assumed level is exerted on the packing 201, the side wall portion having the double wall structure, the cushioning ribs 12 and 12A, etc. are buckled and deformed, resulting in this excessive impact. It effectively attenuates the force.

2 is shown. In this case, the packaged article 300 is a thick-plate article whose upper surface is inclined forward and downward, such as a keyboard unit of an electronic musical instrument, so that the fitting recess S also has a shape corresponding to the cross-sectional shape. Further, since the dimension of the left and right double wall portions of the fitting recess S is considerably long and the rigidity of this portion is relatively low, the buffer slit 20 is omitted. Instead, the number of cushioning ribs 12 is increased to six, and four cushioning ribs 12 excluding both ends thereof are back-to-back with each other to enhance load bearing ability.

Therefore, the bottom piece 1 of the corrugated board 102 shown in FIG. 7 is formed by bending the packing 202 shown in FIG.
A part corresponding to the hollow 13 of the cardboard 101 is omitted. Then, two cushioning ribs 12, 12 are formed upright in a back-to-back shape, and a cut and raised fold i is provided between both main folds A, A. Further, in correspondence with one side surface of the packaged article 300 bulging in a convex shape in a plan view, the recess forming piece 10 has a second bending inside inside each of the bending cuts 15 and 15. Cuts 21 and 21 are provided to face the opposite side surface 6.
A step portion b is formed at the bottom. Reference numeral 22 is a hollow for avoiding the protrusion of the packaged article 300. It should be noted that the height dimensions of the six cushioning ribs 12 are the same as the top surfaces 4, 5 of the packing 202 except for one at the front (lower) end where the cushioning property is particularly desired to be increased.
