2. Description of the Related Art A so-called cooling tower, which is an apparatus for cooling and reusing industrial cooling water, often uses a packed bed to cool hot water. When contacted with air at a temperature lower than the temperature, a part of water evaporates at that time to lose the latent heat of evaporation, and as a result, the water is cooled. As the packing material of the packed bed, a lattice made of synthetic resin or Raschig ring (hollow cylinder) made of porcelain or carbon is used. In the packed bed, cold air is effectively cooled by hot air to separate air from water. The heat-exchanged air is discharged to the outside by the fan. By the way, the air discharged to the outside has a high humidity by coming into contact with hot water in the packed bed. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, when the air having a high humidity comes into contact with the fan casing 1 when being discharged by the propeller fan 12 in the winter when the outside temperature is low, the air is condensed and a water droplet D is formed. The water droplets D become a large mass while falling along the inner surface of the fan casing 1, and eventually fall apart from the fan casing 1. Fan casing 1
The water droplets that have fallen off are carried along with the air by the propeller fan 12 and are scattered to the outside as shown by the arrow B 1 → B 2 . However, conventionally, there is no technique for preventing the scattering of the mist, which is an environmental problem.

In order to achieve the above object, the gist of the present invention is to obtain cold water by heat exchange due to contact between hot water and air, and discharge the air after contact with hot water to the outside by a fan. In the cooling tower, a gutter is provided on the inner circumference of the lower part of the fan casing, a plurality of reservoirs are projected below the gutter, and pipes connected to the reservoirs are extended to the packed bed or the lower water tank. It is in the prevention structure.

In FIG. 1, 1 is a fan casing,
It is divided into an upper fan casing 1a and a lower fan casing 1b. A gutter 2 is provided around the inner circumference of the lower fan casing 1b, and a plurality of accumulating portions 3 are provided on the gutter 2 so as to project downward at a plurality of circumferential positions. The pipe 6 is engaged with the joint 5 to be engaged. (Refer to FIG. 2) 7 is a packed bed filled with a predetermined packing, and the pipe 6 extends right above the packed bed 7. Reference numeral 8 denotes a water supply pipe for supplying used hot water. The hot water carried by the water supply pipe 8 is collected in the upper sprinkler tank 9 and then dropped into the packed bed 7. 10 is a louver that takes in outside air. 11
Is a lower water tank for collecting water that has passed through the packed bed, and 12 is a propeller fan for exhaust.

The air taken in through the louver 10 comes into contact with the water that enters the packed bed 7 and drops from the upper sprinkler tank 9 as shown by the arrow A 1 , and this water is collected in the lower water tank 11. Then, it is sent to a predetermined place of use. After this, the air advances in the direction of arrow A 2 and is discharged to the outside by the propeller fan 12. (Arrow A 3 ) By the way, this air has a high moisture content due to contact with water in the packed bed 7. Therefore, when the outside air temperature is low, such as in winter, the humid air discharged by the propeller fan 12 condenses into water droplets D when coming into contact with the upper fan casing 1a. The water droplet D drops along the upper fan casing 1a, and as it falls, the water droplet D gradually increases and eventually leaves the upper fan casing 1a and falls into the gutter 2. The water droplets that have dropped into the gutter 2 are collected in the pool portion 3, are carried to a position directly above the packed bed 7 via the pipe 6, and fall into the packed bed 7. As described above, the falling water comes into contact with the air taken from the louver 10 together with the falling water from the upper sprinkling tank 9 to exchange heat, and then is collected in the lower water tank 11. Thereafter, heat exchange between hot water and air is effectively performed in the same manner, and the obtained cold water is usefully used for a predetermined purpose. In Figure 1,
Although the pipe 6 is shown as extending directly above the packed bed 7, the pipe 6 may extend into the packed bed 7 or into the lower water tank 11 or directly above it.
