り、左右の荷重差を検出することは困難であり蛇行を防

おり、このアーム6はシリンダ7により回動し、ピンチ
ローラ5が圧延材1をルーパ4とともに挾持または離脱
できるようになつている。このシリンダ7は前記圧延機
2,3のうち圧延材1の流れの上流側の圧延機2のロー
ルに設けられたロードセル8からの信号により、図示せ

ら離脱し、いわゆる尻抜けすると、ロードセル6の荷重
信号が切となり、このときはシリンダ7はアーム6を下
方に押しピンチローラ5を圧延材1に当接させて、ルー
パ4とともに圧延材1を挾持して後方張力を与えるよう
になる。この状態においては従来例の場合に説明した圧
延材1の左右の荷重差を検出することにより、圧延材1
の蛇行を防止することができる。第3図は上述した動作
