Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an article storage device improving carry-in and carry-out capacity of an article while sufficiently securing a housing space. CONSTITUTION:An article storage device is constituted of housing shelves 1 with large number of shelf small compartments vertically and horizontally, containers 18 storing a stored article and housed in the shelf small compartments and carry-in and carry-out machines 9 to deposit and deliver the containers in and from the shelf small compartments 2. Consequently, it is possible to travel a plural number of the carry-in and carry-out machines 9 in a shelf passage 6 between the housing shelves 1. A lift pallet 14 furnished on each of the carry-in and carry-out machines 9 can carry in and carry out the containers 18 between the housing shelves 1 and the shelf small compartments 2 as its width in the longitudinal direction is slightly smaller than width of the shelf passage. The neighbouring carry-in and carry-out machines 9 can pass each other by way of making the relative lift pallet free to revolve and changing their attitude from the longitudinal direction to the travelling direction of the carry-in and carry-out machines 9.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention comprises a storage shelf having a large number of shelves in the vertical and horizontal directions, and a loading / unloading machine travels in a shelf passage formed along the storage shelf to store in the storage shelf. The present invention relates to an article storage device that carries in and out articles.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, various article storage devices of this kind have been proposed, for example, Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 4-46846 and Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 6.
There is an article storage device described in Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 1-25602.

In the article storage device described in the above-mentioned publication, one loading / unloading machine travels through a shelf passage between the storage shelves along the opening surface of the storage shelf, and the lifting / lowering platform of the loading / unloading machine requires a shelf booth. When the goods stored in the same booth are stopped and moved to the loading / unloading platform side, or conversely, the goods carried on the lifting / unloading platform are transferred to the shelving booth. It carries in and out.

In the example disclosed in Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 4-46846, articles can be carried in and out from both sides of the storage shelf with both sides as the frontage. The number of each is one, and therefore, the maximum number of loading and unloading operations to and from the shelves of one storage shelf is two at the same time, which limits the loading and unloading capacity. Therefore, there is a problem that waiting time is increased and frequent measures cannot be taken when the goods are frequently loaded and unloaded, or when the loading and unloading are concentrated on one storage shelf.

Further, with respect to the storage shelves installed along the wall, two or more works cannot be carried in and out at the same time, and each work must be carried out sequentially. Moreover, if the carry-in / carry-out device along the storage shelf fails, it becomes impossible to carry out the goods from the storage shelf and carry the goods into the storage shelf.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide an article storage device which is remarkably superior in carrying-in / carrying-out capacity as compared with the conventional one, and which can secure a storage space to the same extent as the conventional one. It is in.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a storage shelf in which a large number of shelf booths are arranged vertically and horizontally, and storage articles are stored and stored in the rack booths. And a carry-in / carry-out device for carrying the container into and out of the shelving unit, wherein a plurality of the carry-in / carry-out devices are run in parallel in a shelf passage between the storage shelves, The vertical width of the lifting platform is slightly smaller than the width of the shelf passage so that containers can be carried in and out of the shelves of the storage shelves on both sides. Is an article storage device in which the posture of the loading / unloading machine is changed in the traveling direction so that the adjacent loading / unloading machines can pass each other.

If the elevating and lowering platform of the carry-in / carry-out machine is turned to make the longitudinal direction parallel to the traveling direction, it is possible for the adjoining carry-in / carry-out machines to pass each other. Containers can be carried in and out between the shelves of the storage shelves on both sides. Therefore, a plurality of carry-in / carry-out machines traveling in the shelf passage can work at the same time, and the carry-in / carry-out capacity is remarkably improved. Further, even if one loading / unloading machine fails, the work can be continued with the other loading / unloading machine.

If the width in the long direction of the loading / unloading platform is slightly smaller than the width of the shelf passage, the width in the short direction may be narrow enough to allow adjacent loading / unloading devices to pass each other. It is possible to run the loading / unloading machine and secure the storage space to the same extent as the conventional one.

As described above, the stacker cranes 9 can carry out and carry out the work independently at the same time, and the carrying-in and carrying-out capability is improved to about twice as compared with the conventional one stacker crane. Even if the loading and unloading work is concentrated on one storage rack, four stacker cranes on both sides of the storage rack can work simultaneously if necessary.

When the lifting platform 14 of one of the stacker cranes 9 is in the container loading / unloading posture, the other stacker cranes 9 cannot pass by passing each other, but the work of both is not completely independent. The point can be solved by controlling the stacking booths in which the stacker cranes 9 carry in and out articles so that they do not pass each other, and work efficiency is not reduced.

When one stacker crane 9 cannot travel due to a motor failure or the like, the other stacker crane 9 and the failed stacker crane 9 are connected to each other by a connecting member.
28 (indicated by a broken line in FIG. 1) can be integrally connected to move the stacker crane 9 which has failed due to normal driving of the stacker crane 9 and to be evacuated to a place where it does not interfere with the loading and unloading of the container.

In the above-described embodiment, the width of the lifting platform 14 in the short direction is so narrow that the lifting platforms 14 of the stacker crane 9 can pass each other, and the container 18 itself is also the loading platform.
Although the width is narrower than that of 14, an example in which the container and the lifting platform are wide is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.

The widths of the storage shelves 31 on both sides and the shelf passage 32 between the storage shelves 31 are the same as those in the above-described embodiment, and the storage space is the same.
The travel paths of the two stacker cranes 33 traveling on the shelf passage 32 are slightly wider than those in the above example, and the saddle 34 has the same width as the mast 35.
However, the loading frame 36 and the turning device 37 are slightly wider, and the lifting platform 38 is particularly wide.

Therefore, even when the hoisting and lowering platform 38 is in the traveling posture, the two hoisting and lowering platforms 38 cannot pass each other at the same height. Therefore, in the present embodiment, when the two stacker car cranes 33 pass each other, the heights of the two hoisting and loading platforms 38 are changed to travel.

Next, FIGS. 6 and 7 show an example in which three stacker cranes are run on the shelf passage. Three stacker cranes 42 run parallel to each other in the shelf passage 41 at substantially equal intervals, and an elevating and lowering platform 45 for raising and lowering each mast 43 is rotatably attached to a platform frame 44.

When the hoisting platform 45 is in the traveling position as shown in FIG. 6, the adjacent stacker cranes 42 can pass each other, and when the container loading / unloading position is set as shown in FIG. According to the present invention, the loading / unloading machine of the loading / unloading machine can swivel up and down so that adjacent loading / unloading machines can pass each other in the running posture without expanding the shelf passage, and in the loading / unloading container, the storage shelves on both sides can be moved. Containers can be carried in and out between them. Therefore, the carrying-in / carrying-out capability is excellent, and even if one carrying-in / carrying-out machine fails, the other carrying-in / carrying-out machine can continue the work, and a sufficient storage space can be secured.
