Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a hair rinse agent composition, having moderate releasability by washing and capable of remarkably improving the gloss and smoothness of hair and moistness thereof in finishing by combining a specific quaternary ammonium salt with two kinds of specified silicones having different polymerization degrees. CONSTITUTION:This hair rinse agent composition is obtained by combining a quaternary ammonium salt of formula I (one or two of R1 to R4 are 12-24C alkyl and the rest are 1-3C alkyl or benzyl; X is halogen) (e.g. dimethyldioctadecylammonium chloride) with a silicone of formula II [all the groups R5 are methyl or a part thereof are phenyl (with the proviso the groups R<5> in >=90% of the total number thereof are methyl); R6 is methyl or OH; m is 900-1300] (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane) and a silicone of formula III [n is 100-300] (e.g. methylphenylpolysiloxane). The components are preferably blended in the following amounts: 0.3-5wt.% compound of formula I, 0.3-3wt.% compound of formula II and 1-7wt.% compound of formula III.
