2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a glass antenna for a vehicle, an antenna provided in a space above a heating wire for anti-fog on a rear window glass, a transparent conductive film or a wire antenna provided on a front window glass. Antennas, etc. are known and some have been put to practical use, but in the former case, since there is originally a small space and there is a risk of obstructing the field of view, the occupying area becomes small and a sufficient reception gain is not always obtained. I couldn't get it.

Further, the latter antenna provided on the front window glass has a relatively high reception gain, but there is a restriction on the installation place more than the rear window glass so as not to hinder the driver's view.
Also in this case, sufficient reception gain was not always obtained.

Therefore, an antenna in which an antenna is provided on a side window glass having almost no such restrictions is disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-61.
It has been proposed as 275903. However, at present, an antenna having a high medical examination gain over a wide band from the TV broadcast wave VHF band to the UHF band has hardly been put into practical use.

When receiving a TV broadcast wave VHF band, UHF band or FM radio broadcast wave, a loop-shaped element in which the ends of two horizontal filaments are connected by a vertical filament acts as the main element, and the loop-shaped element A line extending parallel to the three or four edges of the window glass, particularly a horizontal line extending parallel to the upper or lower edge, acts as an auxiliary element for further increasing the reception gain. Furthermore, by arranging a part of the auxiliary element, a part of this filament and one side of the loop-shaped element in parallel, and by making the distance close to 10 mm or less, capacitive coupling is achieved in this part and a small area is formed. It is provided to improve the reception gain by apparently increasing the effective length of the antenna, which is originally short of the resonance length. 1 to 3 channels of the wave VHF band,
The effect is great when receiving FM radio broadcast waves.

The preferred embodiments have been described above, but the present invention is not limited to these, and various applications are possible. Regarding the main element, it is generally preferable that the length C of the horizontal filament forming the loop shape is at least 350 mm and the length C is as long as possible so as to secure a distance of about 10 mm from the glass edge. The vertical length D is 20 mm to 150 mm when there is one loop, and the total length (D 1 + D 2 +) when there are two or more as shown in Examples 2 and 5.

With respect to the auxiliary element, it extends from one of the corners of the loop-shaped element in parallel with one side edge, the upper side edge or the lower side edge, and further extends in parallel with at least the other side edge over three sides to the lower side or the upper side. In addition, power may be further supplied at the tip and four sides may extend parallel to the other side edge, and it is generally preferable that the distance between each side and the glass edge is set in the range of 10 to 100 mm. When it is provided in the upper half or in the lower half as in Example 6, the distance between the horizontal line on the center side and the glass edge greatly exceeds this range.
