備えていた。ここで終端部6については図7を用いて更
に詳細に説明する。8は駆動プーリであり、この駆動プ
ーリ8で前記搬送ベルト4に駆動力を与えている。9は
搬送ベルト4を架けた駆動プーリ8に押圧して設けられ
た回転ローラであり、紙幣通路3を搬送ベルト4により
搬送されてきた紙幣を収納部7側へ搬送する働きをもっ
ている。このように構成された紙幣識別装置に於いて
は、搬送されてきた紙幣に対して回転ローラ9と駆動プ
ーリ8の接触面Yより先へ、つまり収納部7までの距離
(Z間)紙幣を搬送することができない。又、紙幣の真
偽判定で偽と判定された紙幣を返却するため搬送ベルト
4を逆転する際、既に収納されている紙幣が搬送ベルト
4に巻き込まれ、終端部6から紙幣通路3側へ逆流する
可能性がある等の問題があり、これらの解決のために従
来は図7に示すように終端ツメ10を配設することによ
り、搬送されてきた紙幣に対しては収納部7まで確実に
搬送させ、又、搬送ベルト4の逆転時には、収納されて
いる紙幣が搬送ベルト4に巻き込まれ紙幣通路3側へ逆
流するのを防止するという役目を持たせていた。
