Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野)本発明は、小径かつ極薄に形成さ
れた円盤状の磁気ディスクシートを内蔵し、この磁気デ
ィスクシートが回転されて録画再生に供せられる磁気デ
ィスクカートリッジおよびその製造方法に関するもので
あり、さらに詳しくは磁気ディスクシートとセンターコ
アとの接着技術に関するものである。 (従来の技術)従来、フレキシブルポリエステルシート
の円盤の両面に磁性体を塗布した記録媒体に磁気ヘッド
によりデジタル情報を記録するフロッピーディスクが開
発され、その取扱いの容易性、低コストといった利点か
らコンピュータ用の記録媒体として広く用いられてい
る。近年では、このフロッピーディスクを更に小型化し
ケースをプラスチック樹脂によりハード化し、磁気ヘッ
ド開口部などにはシャッター部材を設け、取扱い性,信
頼性,防塵性を向上させたいわゆるマイクロフロッピー
ディスクが市場に導入されはじめた。一方、スチルカメ
ラにあっては、このようなフロッピーディスクの有用性
かつ磁気記録による銀塩フィルムにはない記録媒体の再
使用可能といった利点を利用してフロッピーディスクを
さらに小型化したもの、すなわち円盤状の記録媒体の径
および厚みをさらに小さくし、これにともない収容する
ケースも小型化するとともにハード化した磁気ディスク
カートリッジを録画、再生の記録媒体として高速回転し
て用いることが提案され、従来の35mmカメラ程度の
大きさの磁気記録方式によるスチルカメラが開発され
た。このような小型化された磁気ディスクカートリッジ
では小さな径の磁気ディスクに多量の情報記録を行なう
ため記録密度は非常に高くなり、このため磁気ディスク
にわずかな変形・変位が生ずると磁気ヘッドと磁気ディ
スクの間に接触不良によるいわゆるスペーシングロスに
よる電磁変換読出出力に不整を生じ記録再生される情報
に歪が生じ、良好な記録再生が困難となる可能性が大き
い。一方、この磁気ディスクカートリッジは従来のフロ
ッピーディスクのような磁気ディスクの中心に嵌合孔を
有して磁気ディスクドライブ側の両方向から機械側の部
材により支持されるものとは異なり、磁気ディスクの中
心に一方から挿入される回転軸に嵌合するセンターコア
が設けられる。このセンターコアの回転を磁気ディスク
に伝えるために両者を一体に固定しなければならず、こ
の固定に際して磁気ディスクに変形を生じないように種
々の工夫がなされている。例えば第3図に示すように底
面の中心に内孔1aを有し、上面の外周にフランジ部1
bを有する有底円筒状のセンターコア1と、内孔2aを
有する円盤状の磁気ディスクシート2とを、前記センタ
ーコア1のフランジ部1bの下面と前記磁気ディスクシ
ート2の内孔2aの周縁上面との間に介在させたリング
状両面接着部材3により接着し、この内孔2aにセンタ
ーコア1の円筒部1cを嵌入させて組み立てる方法が用
いられている。この方法によれば、ロボットによる自動
組立も可能になる。しかしながらこの方法においては両
面接着テープ3のような接着部材を使用しなければなら
ず、接着時の圧力により接着テープの厚み方向にムラを
生じ、磁気ディスクにシワがよったり、接着テープ3を
自動的にセンターコア1のフランジ部1bの下面または
磁気ディスクシート2の内孔2aの周縁に芯ズレを生じ
ることなく同心状に固設することは、接着テープが、セ
ンターコア1やディスクシート2に組立完了前に誤まっ
て接着しやすく、その場合、シートやセンターコアの位
置修正が困難であることなどによりコスト面および生産
性の面から問題があった。 (発明の目的)本発明は、上記のような事情に鑑み、両
面接着テープを使用することなく容易にセンターコアと
磁気ディスクシートとを正しい位置に接着することので
きる簡単な構造の磁気ディスクカートリッジおよびその
製造方法を提供することを目的とするものである。 (発明の構成)本発明に係る磁気ディスクカートリッジ
は、上記目的を達成するため、上端面にフランジ部を有
する有底円筒状のセンターコアと、このセンターコアの
円筒部に嵌合する内孔を有する磁気ディスクシートとか
らなる磁気ディスクアセンブリを回転自在に収納してな
る磁気ディスクカートリッジにおいて、複数個の接着剤
注入用貫通小孔を円周方向に透設した前記フランジ部
と、該接着剤注入用貫通小孔を介して注入されて、少な
くとも前記フランジ部の下面と前記磁気ディスクシート
の内孔周縁上面との間に介在せしめられた瞬間接着剤と
を具備して成ることを特徴とする。本発明に係る磁気デ
ィスクカートリッジの製造方法は、上記目的を達成する
ため、上端面にフランジ部を有する有底円筒状のセンタ
ーコアと、このセンターコアの円筒部に嵌合する内孔を
有する磁気ディスクシートとからなる磁気ディスクアセ
ンブリを回転自在に収納してなる磁気ディスクカートリ
ッジの製造方法において、前記センターコアのフランジ
部に複数個の接着剤注入用貫通小孔を円周方向に設け、
該センターコアのフランジ部下面と前記磁気ディスクシ
ート上面とを当接させた後、これらのフランジ部と磁気
ディスクシートとの間に前記接着剤注入用貫通小孔を介
して瞬間接着剤を注入して、前記センターコアと磁気デ
ィスクシートとを接着することを特徴とする。 (発明の効果)本発明に係る磁気ディスクカートリッジ
およびその製造方法によれば、センターコアのフランジ
部に円周方向に設けられた複数個の接着剤注入用貫通小
孔より瞬間接着剤を注入することによりセンターコアと
磁気ディスクシートとの接着を行うので、従来用いられ
ていた両面接着テープなどの接着部材を必要とせず、磁
気ディスクシートの歪の発生を抑えながらきわめて容易
に磁気ディスクシートに同心状にセンターコアの組付け
ができ、また磁気ディスクシートとセンターコアの芯出
しを行ったあと接着することができるためズレによるメ
ディア変形を軽減できるなど本発明はコストの低減、生
産性の向上に寄与することはきわめて大きい。 (実 施 例)以下、図面により本発明の実施例につい
て説明する。第1図は本発明に係る磁気ディスクカート
リッジの一実施例を示す分解斜視図であり、第2図は第
1図の中心線上の組立縦断面図である(第3図に示す従
来例と同一または同等部分は同一符号で示す)。第1図
および第2図に示すように磁気ディスクアセンブリは、
底面の中心に内孔1aを有し、上面の外周にフランジ部
1bを有する有底円筒状のセンターコア1に、このセン
ターコア1の円筒部1cが嵌入される内孔2aを有する
磁気ディスクシート2を組み合わせ、センターコア1の
フランジ部1bの下面と磁気ディスクシート2の内孔2
aの周縁部の上面とを当接させる。フランジ部1bには
複数個の接着剤注入用貫通小孔1dが円周方向に形成さ
れており、この貫通小孔1dに例えばアロンアルファ
(東亜化学工業製)のような適度の粘性を有する瞬間接
着剤を注射器などにより少量注入することにより、前記
フランジ部1bの下面と磁気ディスクシート2の内孔2
aの周縁部の上面との間にこの瞬間接着剤が浸透し、瞬
時に固着される。このように組み立てられた磁気ディス
クアセンブリは、カートリッジ内に回転自在に収納さ
れ、この収納された状態で磁気ディスクドライブ側の回
転軸がセンターコア1と嵌合し、センターコア1を回転
させる。センターコア1が回転されるとこれに接着され
た磁気ディスクシート2も回転し、これにより磁気ディ
スクシート上に記録再生させることができる。
