However, in a conventional roller, a so-called single tube such as an aluminum tube or a steel tube is used as the roller body, and one end portion of the shaft body is fitted into both end portions of the roller body, thereby making the shaft body into the roller body. Although it is fixed, since it is weak in strength, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 56-45847 as a conventional technique for compensating for this, the roller body is placed inside the outer cylinder and the outer cylinder. A double pipe consisting of an inner cylinder extending coaxially and a plurality of connecting wall portions connected between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder so as to extend in the axial direction at regular intervals in the circumferential direction. A device in which each shaft body separate from the roller body is formed by a stainless steel round bar, and one end of each shaft body is press-fitted to the inner cylinder end of the roller body to form a roller. Is proposed.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) In the above-mentioned conventional roller, since the roller body is formed of a double tube, the roller body is stronger than the roller body formed of a single tube. In order to fix the shaft body to the roller body by press-fitting a solid shaft such as a stainless round bar to the inner cylinder end of the roller body so that the inside of the roller body is completely sealed.
There is also a problem that when the roller body is heated due to contact friction with the paper when the roller is used, the internal air pressure rises and the shaft comes off.

In order to solve this problem, it is conceivable to form a vent hole in the roller body by post-processing or use a hollow shaft instead of the solid shaft, but in the former, naturally the post-processing increases the manufacturing cost. In the latter case, the strength is weaker than that of the solid shaft.

Further, in the above-mentioned conventional technology, since the shaft body which is separate from the roller body is fitted and coupled to the roller main body, a troublesome coupling work is required, which causes a rise in the manufacturing cost, and
There is also a problem of strength reduction due to bonding.

Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a roller that can be manufactured at low cost, has no possibility that the shaft will come out of the roller body, and has sufficient strength.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the roller of the present invention comprises an outer cylinder, a solid shaft coaxially extending inside the outer cylinder, and a space between the outer cylinder and the solid shaft. A metal mold member having a plurality of connecting wall portions connected to each other so as to extend in the axial direction at regular intervals in the circumferential direction, of which both ends of the solid shaft are formed to project from both ends of the outer cylinder. In this structure, the projecting portions at both ends of the solid shaft serve as both shaft bodies for mounting, and the outer cylinder between the shaft bodies serves as the roller body.

(Example) An example will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, a roller 1 according to the present invention is made of a double tubular aluminum extruded mold material. Tube 2
And a solid shaft 3 extending coaxially inside the outer cylinder 2 and the solid shaft 3 so as to extend in the axial direction at 90 ° intervals in the circumferential direction so as to connect the outer cylinder 2 and the solid shaft 3 to each other. It is composed of four connecting wall portions 4, 4 connected between the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the solid shaft 3.

Then, in order to manufacture the roller 1 from the above aluminum extruded mold material, this mold material is cut into a length necessary for the entire length L of the roller 1, and the mold material is left from the both ends while leaving the center shaft 3 as it is. A predetermined length H inward along each direction
The shafts 5 and 5 for mounting the rollers are formed on both ends of the solid shaft 3 which is left uncut, and the roller main body 6 is formed between the shafts 5 and 5 by cutting them off with a lathe. Then, the roller 1 as shown in FIG. 1 is thereby formed. The shafts 5 and 5 of the roller 1 thus formed are further subjected to a cutting process on the surface thereof to be slightly smaller in diameter than the solid shaft 3 on the roller body 6 side as shown in the drawing. The outer end of each shaft 5 is appropriately stepped or grooved.

The roller 1 is made of an extruded aluminum material that is much softer than steel.
Since it is easy to wear when used as it is, it is desirable to appropriately cure the shaft 5 of the roller 1.

Although the aluminum extruded mold member is used in the illustrated embodiment described above, the present invention is not limited to this, and a drawn mold member such as steel, a mold member made of casting, or other suitable metal mold member can be used.

(Effect of the device) Since the roller of the present invention can be integrally formed with the roller body and the shaft body at the same time by cutting both ends of the double tubular metal mold material, the manufacturing is extremely easy and the cost is significantly reduced. In addition to being able to work, there is no concern that both shafts will come off the roller body, which is extremely safe in use. Further, according to the present invention, the solid shaft penetrates along the central axis of the outer cylinder which is the roller body, and both ends of the solid shaft are formed so as to project from both ends of the outer cylinder. Since the protruding parts at both ends are both shafts for mounting, the roller body itself is stronger than the conventional double pipe because the center part is solid, and both shafts are strong. Since it is formed integrally with the roller body, there is no problem of strength reduction due to the coupling of a separate shaft body to the roller body as in the past, and it is structurally extremely robust, and is particularly suitable for long rollers. Is.
