Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the material of a rubber roller for a copier or the like, by fitting the protrusion of a light alloy pipe in the recess of another light alloy pipe having a shaft portion, to couple these pipes to each other to form a core and by coating the core with a rubber tube. CONSTITUTION:The protrusion 2a of a light alloy pipe 2 is tightly fitted in the recess 3a of another light alloy pipe 3 to couple these pipes to each other to form a core 1. At that time, the fitted portions are located in the center of the core 1. Both the ends of the core 1 are processed by drawing so that protruded shaft portions 4 are provided. Stainless steel pipes 5 are tightly fitted on the shaft portions 4. A rubber tube 6 is thereafter fixed on the core 1. According to this constitution, cutting-out is not needed, material is reduced and mass production is enabled.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to improvements in rubber rollers used in copying machines, facsimile machines, etc., for pulling out sheets of paper one by one.

Conventionally, the core metal of the rubber roller used for copying etc. was made of stainless steel in the shape of a solid round bar. However, in manufacturing this metal core, the surface was ground and the shaft portions at both ends were carved out by cutting. In this way, conventional rubber rollers use stainless steel as the core metal, which makes the material extremely expensive, and because they are produced by machining, there is a lot of wasted material, making them unsuitable for mass production and resulting in high costs. It was also the same that the ratio was extremely high.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. Reference numeral 1 indicates a pipe-shaped core metal made of a light alloy such as aluminum or zinc, which is divided approximately in the center, and one of the core metals 2 has a convex portion at the end 2a, and the other core metal 3 has a convex portion. Recesses are formed in each of the end portions 3a, and the core metal 1 is formed by press-fitting the projections and the recesses.

Further, both ends of the core metal 1 are drawn by drawing, and a shaft portion 4 is integrally formed to protrude therefrom, and a stainless steel pipe 5 is press-fitted onto the outer periphery of the shaft portion 4. 6
1 shows a rubber tube that is transferred to the outer part of the core metal 1, and the rubber tube 6 and the core metal 1 are firmly fixed in close contact with each other. However, when the rubber tube 6 of the lever is tightly fixed to the outer periphery of the core metal 1, it is preferable to forcibly press-fit the rubber tube 16 onto the outer periphery of the core metal 1 while the rubber tube is still hot after molding. When the rubber tube 6 is coated with the rubber tube 6, the rubber tube 6 can be firmly and closely fixed to the outer periphery of the core bar 1 without using any particular adhesive.

As described above, this invention is a pipe-shaped core metal made of a light alloy such as aluminum or zinc, which is formed by dividing it approximately in the center, and the divided core metals are joined together to form an integral body. Compared to conventional core metals obtained by cutting solid round stainless steel bars, it is much easier to manufacture, and the material costs are lower because the core metals are made of materials such as aluminum or zinc. It is also extremely cheap, and since no cutting work is required, there is no wastage of materials and mass production is possible. Therefore, this kind of cored metal can be produced at extremely low costs.
