Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a mower properly usable for mulching operation and other operating states and capable of improving the lawn cutting performance. CONSTITUTION:The objective mower is equipped with three bar blades 2 on the inside of a cutting blade housing 1. In this mower, a peripheral wall member 7 forming a treating chamber (M) for mulching surrounding the whole periphery near loci of the outer end of the respective bar blades 2 is detachably installed on the inner surface of the cutting blade housing 1. Thereby, the lower end of the peripheral wall member 7 is set at nearly the same height as that of the lower end of the cutting blade housing 1.

る周壁部材31の後方側は従来より配備されるバキュー
ムプレート6〔バーブレードにより生起される風を効率
よく刈芝搬送風として案内させるための縦壁〕により生
起風が外方に漏れるのを防止し、周壁部材31の前方側
は、その下端部から刈刃ハウジング1の前壁部まで延び
る板体32でハウジング内方空間を閉塞する構成のもの
があった。

い状態で植立芝に突き刺さり、充分な細断作用が発揮で
きないおそれがあった。又、バーブレードによる切断作
用を受ける前の植立芝が前記板体により押し倒された斜
め姿勢になりやすく、切断性能が低くなりやすい傾向も
あり、改善の余地があった。本発明は上記不具合点を解
消することを目的としている。

のとなる。しかも、周壁部材と刈刃ハウジングの縦壁と
の間は空間が確保できるから、植立芝の押し倒し作用は
薄い壁材による一時的なもので済み、その後の立姿勢へ
の復帰が行われ易いので、切断性能が低下するおそれも
少ない。

1、図2にモーアを示している。このモーアは、サイド
ディスチャージ形態に構成され、刈刃ハウジング1内に
3個のバーブレード2を夫々縦軸芯周りで回転駆動自在
に並列配備するとともに、刈刃ハウジング1の横一側に
刈芝排出口3を形成し、図示しない走行機体から動力が
供給され、各バーブレード2が同一方向に高速で回転駆
動され、各バーブレード2により切断された刈芝がバー
ブレード2自身によって生起される搬送風により、刈刃
ハウジング1の前方側縦壁部1aの上方側通路Sに沿っ
て搬送案内され、前記排出口3から外方に放出されるよ
う構成してある。刈刃ハウジング1の後部側の左右両側
には刈高さを変更調節するためのゲージ輪4を配備し、
前方側には突部乗り越え用の接地遊転輪5を支承してあ
る。そして、隣接する各バーブレード2の外端軌跡は前
後方向視で一部重複するよう構成して刈り残しが生じな
いようにしてある。各バーブレード2の後方側外周部に
沿ってその外端軌跡に近接される状態でバキュームプレ
ート6を刈刃ハウジング1の内面天井部1bに溶接固定
する状態で配備してあり、各バーブレード2による生起
風が外方側に漏れるのを防止して効率よく刈芝搬送に寄
与するよう構成してある。又、このモーアはバーブレー
ド2により切断された刈芝を細かく細断してそのまま下
方に落下放出させるマルチング作業を行えるようにする
ために、刈刃ハウジング1の内面に前記各バーブレード
2の外端軌跡の近くを全周に亘って囲むマルチング用処
理室Mを形成する周壁部材7を着脱自在に取付けてあ
る、つまり、図3に示すように、刈刃ハウジング1の天
井部1bを貫通する状態で設けられるブレード駆動軸8
を回動自在に支持するための枢支ボス部材9に、略碗形
にプレス成型された周壁部材7の挿通孔7aを外嵌さ
せ、周壁部材7に溶接固定状態で延設した4個の連結部
材10を介して刈刃ハウジング1の天井面1bにボルト
で枢支ボス部材9と共締め固定連結してある。前記周壁
部材7はその周囲縦壁部7bはバーブレード2に干渉し
ない程度に、その下端がバーブレード2より上方に位置
するよう形成され、この周壁部材7の後方側には外方側
面に沿って刈刃ハウジング1の下端縁とほぼ同一レベル
まで背高に形成されるバキュームプレート6が位置する
よう構成してある。又、各周壁部材7の前方側には外方
側面に沿って、その下端が刈刃ハウジング1の前方側の
下端高さと略同一高さに設定した補助プレート11を付
設してある。このようにして、バーブレード2との干渉
を回避しながら、回転外端軌跡のほぼ全周に亘り近傍に
沿って、生起風の漏れの少ないマルチング処理室Mを形
成して、刈芝の細断機能を高めている。尚、刈芝排出口
3とは反対側に位置する周壁部材7には刈芝がモーア横
外方にこぼれ出るのを防止するための折り返し部12を
形成してある。上述したように隣接する各バーブレード
2の外端軌跡が前後方向視で一部重複する箇所におい
て、隣接する周壁部材7の下部に切欠13を形成して、
マルチング性能を低下させることなく、組付け誤差等に
起因してバーブレード2の外端が周壁部材7に干渉する
おそれを未然に回避するようにしてある。

ング1の内面天井部1bに付設して、このマルチング処
理室形成用部材14と従来より刈刃ハウジング天井面1
bに付設されているバキュームプレート6とにより、周
壁部材7を構成するものであってもよい。
