PURPOSE:To permit highly accurate control of a supply fan by a method wherein the supply fan is controlled by selecting a voltage control means or number- of-roations control means in accordance with the value of a difference between a set flow of air and an estimated flow rate of air. CONSTITUTION:A supply fan for an air-conditioning machine is rotated by a supply fan rotating means 15 and the number of rotations of the fan is controlled by a number-of-rotations control means 13 while the number of rotations is detected by number-of-rotations detecting means 14. A voltage supplied to the supply fan rotating means 15 is controlled by a voltage control means 12. A volume of air, set by a user, is detected by a set air volume detecting means 11. When the volume of air, set by the user, is smaller than an estimated one upon operating the air-conditioning machine, the supply fan rotating means 15 is controlled by a voltage control means 12. On the other hand, when the set air volume is bigger than the estimated one, the fan rotating means 15 is controlled by the number of rotation control means 13. According to this method, the number of rotations of the supply fan is controlled highly accurately.
