密閉構造には出来ないので、バッテリを斜めにしたり横
にした場合電解液が漏れることになるため、バッテリの
車体への取付状態にも制約があった。このようにバッテ
リの取付位置、取付状態が制約されることは車体の小型
化、スリム化の妨げともなる。

部電池の形成を防止し、自己放電量を抑制することによ
り長期放置時の補充電を不要としている。さらに微細な
ガラスマットによって電解液の外部流出を防止してい

取付、及び車体の低重心化をも図った自動二輪車におけ
る密閉型バッテリの配置構造を提供することを目的とす
る。

なるパワーユニット21の上方、この場合、箱型フレー
ム18の後端部内(位置B)に該フレームの底面に沿っ
て収納配置される。バッテリ15の収納方法について
は、第3図乃至第5図に示す如く、フレームをプレート
30上に一体成形された収納枠31内に収納しかつ固定
具32により固定し、しかる後フレーム18の後端部内
に下方から収納し、プレート30をボルト33及びナッ
ト34によってフレーム18の下端部に締め付け固定す
る。なお、このプレート30は、フレーム18の底面の
一部を形成する。
