させるエアシリンダ7とで該牽引手段5を構成した。該
牽引手段5で受け部材1の端部4を引張ると、該受け部
材1の中間部8の弛みが少なくなり、該端部4を緩める
と、該中間部8に載せた多数本の軽量棒状体9の重さで
その弛みが大きくなる。該軽量棒状体9は、例えば図3
に示すように、引張強度の大きい全芳香族ポリアミド樹
脂繊維10を組紐状に編み、これにバインダーとしてエ
ポキシ樹脂液を含浸させて固化したもので、長尺体とし
て製造され、そのあと所定の長さに切断されて出荷のた
めに箱詰めされる。該棒状体9の周面は比較的摩擦抵抗
が大きく滑り難いため、切断後に多数本をまとめたとき
にそのままでは整列状態にはならないが、切断された多
数本の軽量棒状体9を上記の受け部材1に入れ、その中
間部8が上下するように弛みの程度を頻繁に変えると、
下方の棒状体9から順に方向の整列を始め、やがて全体
が方向整列状態になる。この間に、該棒状体9の両端部
