底部幅8dは、その自重およびシンターケーキ排鉱時の
機械的衝撃に十分耐えうる強度を保持するためグレート
バー4b5本分としている。このように支持材底部幅8
dがグレートバー4bの5本分と幅が広く、支持材8近
傍では吸引空気の流れが阻害されることによる焼成状況
への悪影響が懸念されるので、支持材8の底部にスリッ
ト8fの加工を施す。図1に示すように、スリット8f
はパレット幅方向に2列設けられ、その幅8gは5mm
である。また、図2に示すように、スリット8fは支持
材8の両側底部にパレット進行方向に2列設けられてお
り、その長さ8hはグレートバー4bの長さの1/3で
