A variety of calligraphy practice materials have been developed for use in elementary school classes, and one example is the calligraphy practice paper described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 60-2605. This practice paper is made by gradually decreasing the number of ruled lines in the frame for each calligraphy column with a large number of columns, and also has a sample column in which model characters are printed side by side. The text is designed to gradually reduce the number of letters used to help students learn the fonts of the model letters accurately and quickly, but when you look at them after you have finished practicing, it is clear that you have practiced according to the teaching guidelines in the teaching material. Because of this, no matter how well I write, I cannot get enough emotional satisfaction.

In view of the above points, the present invention has been designed with various ingenuity as mentioned above, in addition to the part where children learn the basics of calligraphy, there is also a part where the students can be convinced that they have written it on their own. The aim is to change the practice attitude from a typical practice to one with independence.

Unlike the conventional technology described above, the teaching material of the present invention is bound into a single "exercise book" and is structured so that one unit can be learned using two double-page spreads.
Multiple units are arranged systematically over many pages. The left and right pages of the spread that make up one unit have the same basic layout, and immediately after practicing the characters and sentences practiced on one practice page, they can be transferred to the adjacent copy page in the same size and arrangement. You can copy it below. One page for practice includes instruction lines to guide the size and distribution of letters in accordance with the learning goals of the unit, light-colored models used for tracing, and necessary notes to help students learn the basics of calligraphy. On the other hand, on the other page for fair copying, only the frame lines and ruled lines indicating the layout of the page are basically marked.
Children using the exercise book will be asked to read the 2-page spread.
First, use the practice page and passively learn the basics of the unit by following the instruction lines and notes written on that page, and when this is finished, continue to the next page for fair copying. Make a fair copy. As mentioned above, only the layout of the page is marked on this page for copying, and the child must do the copying on his own, based on the knowledge he has just acquired on the practice page. However, the sense of satisfaction I felt when I thought I had successfully written this fair copy was incomparably greater than the conventional examples mentioned above, as there were no instruction lines or notes around it. I have a deep attachment to this clean copy. In anticipation of this, the exercise book of the present invention is provided with tear-off perforations in advance so that the pages for fair copy can be cut out and stored. Also, aside from this subjective sense of attachment, for the same reason, a fair copy written on a fair copy page looks as if it was a fair copy on half paper, so the page to be used can be specified and used, for example, as a work for a school writing contest. For this reason, it is effective to provide perforations in advance so that pages for fair copying can be separated.

Below, one embodiment of the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. This calligraphy practice book is aimed at 6th grade elementary school students, and has a total of 32 pages of content bound with a slightly thick cover. One teaching unit consists of two double-page spreads, excluding the first page, which describes how to use the exercise book and the table of contents, and the final 32nd page.

The two-page spread shown in the drawing has a unit on how to write a "cover", with a practice page 1 on the right side of the drawing and a fair copy page 29 on the left side. Page 1 for practice has the unit name 2 titled "2. [Advanced] Cover", the learning objectives for the unit 3, the number of pages 4, and an indication 5 that the page is for practice. Two frame lines 6 and 13, largely resembling the cover, are drawn at the top of the center of the page so as to partially overlap each other. In the upper right frame line 6, the letters "Bunshu Wakaba" are written horizontally in two columns as a light-colored sample 7 for tracing, as an example of the title on the cover, and a straight broken line indicates that the size of the letters should be the same in each column. 8,9
, circular broken lines 10 and 11 instructing to leave a space between the letters, and a cautionary note 12 stating, ``Write with a slight gap between the letters.'' On the lower left frame line 13, the words "Sora ni Shirakawa" are written vertically in two lines as a pale color sample 14 for tracing, with a dashed line 15 indicating the same size of the letters and a dashed line 15 indicating the center of the letters. Broken lines 16, 17
Notes 18 and 19 are written, ``Write thick and large in the center'' and ``Write a little smaller.'' In addition, at the bottom center of the same page 1, there is a separate training column 20 for learning the brush strokes of kanji, and in addition to model displays 21 and 22 that also serve as headings, there are eight square-shaped frames 23 and 24, Light color sample for tracing 2
5, 26 and instruction lines 27 indicating brush strokes and points to be careful of,
28 are listed. The fair copy page 29 has the same basic layout as this practice page 1, that is, two large frames 6' and 13' imitating the cover to match the page 1, and a kanji practice page 8. The four square-shaped frames 23' and 24' are posted blank without any annotations, and in addition, the self-evaluation column 3
0 is provided, the number of pages is 31, an indication 32 indicating that the page 29 is for fair copying, and an illustration 33 decorating the page are written. Further, perforations 34 for separating the page 29 from the exercise book body are provided in a straight line from the top side to the bottom side of the page 29 for copying.

Children studying this unit first use the practice page 1 on the right side and follow the instructions on the dashed lines 8, 9, 10, etc. and notes 12, 18, 19, etc., and read the light colored examples 7, 14, 25. , 26 to learn the basics of the unit, and then write the same words and phrases in the same arrangement on the page 29 on the left side. The fair copy page 29 has a frame line 6' indicating the basic layout.
Only pages 13', 23', and 24' are printed, and the students use the knowledge they gained on the practice page 1 they just finished writing to cleanse it while looking at page 1 and the textbook, and then complete a self-evaluation. Use the column 30 to self-evaluate, or use the perforation 34 as necessary to check the page 34.
Separate. In the figure, a perforation 35 is also provided on the practice page 1 on the right side, and the purpose of this is to separate the copy page of the previous unit set on the back side of the page 1.

As explained above, the calligraphy practice book of this invention is
One unit of practice consists of two pages lined up on the left and right in a spread, with the basic layout of the left and right pages aligned, one page for practice and the other page for copying.
In addition, a perforation is provided to separate the other page for copying, and the page for copying is provided independently right next to the page for practice, allowing students to actively practice rather than simply passively practicing. It is possible to improve learning efficiency by having students practice their calligraphy, and to make it easier to save, display, or sell the page by separating it from the perforations.
