Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent flaw on mark from occurring due to interposition of air without spoiling merits (simple process, low cost) of a hot stamping processing by ameliorating a method for displaying solid mark on a transparent plate-like member by the hot stamping processing. CONSTITUTION:Hot stamping processing is performed by using a marking jig 4 made of elastic member having an angle part 4a corresponding to a groove of a plate-like lens 1. An apex angle of the angle part 4a is smaller than a base angle of the groove of the lens. Thus, pushing starts from the center of the groove, and the pushing area expands to both sides of the groove, so that air will not be interposed.

Characters having a three-dimensional effect on a transparent plate member,
As a technique for displaying a mark composed of a symbol, a figure, or a combination thereof, a mark-shaped groove is formed on the surface of the transparent plate-shaped member (lens), and a metal thin film is formed on the inner surface of the groove by a vacuum deposition method. A method for forming a film is known. According to this method, marks having a metallic color tone and metallic luster are three-dimensionally displayed. However, this vacuum vapor deposition process is complicated in process and generally a. Concave surface undercoat (mask coating), b. Dry curing, c. Concave surface vacuum vapor deposition (mask vapor deposition process), d. Concave top coat (mask coating), e. Dry cure, f. Over deposition removal (alkaline cleaning), g. Repeated washing with water, h. Washing with pure water, i. Drain and dry, j. Coloring treatment other than the concave portion, k. Since it has to undergo a process such as dry curing, the yield is poor and the manufacturing cost is high. In addition to the above-described vacuum vapor deposition method, an insert molding method is also known, but the foil film is expensive, and the shape of the molded product has many restrictions. There is a method using a hot stamp as a technique capable of displaying a three-dimensional mark at a low cost with a relatively simple process. FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram of the process. As shown in FIG. 1A, a mark-shaped groove 1a is provided in advance on one surface of the transparent plate lens 1. The groove 1a has a shallow V-shaped cross section. The hot stamp sheet 3 is pressed in the direction of arrow P toward the mark-shaped groove 1a by a marking jig provided with the chevron portion 2a corresponding to the V-shape, and is sandwiched as shown in FIG. Transfer.

FIG. 4C is a schematic diagram of FIG.
A state in which the plate-shaped lens 1 and the marking jig 2 used in the hot stamping process according to the related art described in (A) and (B) are directly opposed (without sandwiching the hot stamp sheet 3) and brought into contact with each other. It is explanatory drawing which drew. The bottom angle of the groove 1a of the plate lens 1 is θ, and the apex angle of the chevron portion 2a of the marking jig 2 is also θ. If this corner is not accurate, the hot stamp sheet will not be pressed uniformly. However, even if this angle θ is accurately configured, there are the following problems. I. If the ridge at the bottom of the mark-shaped groove 1a and the ridge of the chevron portion 2a of the marking jig 2 do not exactly face each other, the hot stamp sheet is damaged and the display mark is damaged. Further, if this is repeated, the tip of the marking jig (ridge of the mountain portion) is worn. B. Figure 4
As shown in (B), when the groove of the plate-shaped lens 1 and the chevron portion of the marking jig 2 are in close contact with each other via the hot stamp sheet 3, the air around the groove escapes to the outside, but the ridge of the groove. The air trapped in the vicinity loses its escape and is trapped, causing scratches on the display mark. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and improves the hot stamping method which has a simple processing step and a low manufacturing cost to impair the advantages (simple and cheap) of the hot stamping method. Without
Moreover, it is an object of the present invention to provide a method of displaying a scratch-free three-dimensional mark on a plate lens.

In order to achieve the above object, the method for displaying a mark according to the present invention is such that a hot stamp sheet is pressed by a marking jig into a mark-shaped groove provided in a transparent plate lens. When displaying a mark, the marking jig is made of an elastically deformable material, and the shape of the pressing surface when the marking jig presses the hot stamp sheet toward the inner surface of the groove is a chevron that follows the groove. And, the apex angle of the chevron is made smaller than the bottom angle of the groove, and the chevron ridge of the marking jig is directly aligned with the ridge of the groove bottom of the lens to press the hot stamp sheet. A pressing force is generated in the vicinity of the ridge and a pressing force is not generated in a portion away from the ridge, and the marking jig is elastically deformed to increase the pressing force generation area as the pressing force is further increased. Enlarge, this To reach a pressure generating section to the whole area of the intended hot stamping part.

According to the above-mentioned method, since the pressing proceeds from the central portion of the mark-shaped groove toward both ends, there is no possibility that air is trapped in the central portion. Further, since the marking jig is made of an elastic body, there is no risk of damaging the hot stamp sheet even if there is a slight error in the direct alignment between the mark-shaped groove and the marking jig.

When the hot stamp sheet 3 is pressed toward the inner surface of the mark-shaped groove 1a by the chevron portion 4a of the marking jig 4, since φ <θ, the plate-shaped lens as shown in FIG. 1B is obtained. The hot stamp sheet 3 is pressed in the vicinity of the ridgeline of the groove 1 and the vicinity of both sides of the groove is not pressed at the stage of FIG. When the pressing force is increased, the chevron portion of the marking jig 4 is elastically deformed following the groove, and the pressing area is expanded. Specifically, it gradually expands toward both sides from the center of the groove (near the ridge). Then, as shown in (C), the hot stamp sheet 3 is pressed against the entire surface of the mark-shaped groove 1a. In this way, the hot stamp sheet 3 is pressed to the entire intended hot stamp processing area. In this embodiment, in the order of FIG.
Since the pressing area expands from the central part of the groove toward both sides, there is no possibility that air is trapped in the central part and the hot stamp film is damaged. Further, since the marking jig is made of an elastic body, the ridge b of the chevron portion 4a of the marking jig 4 does not have to face the ridge a of the groove 1a of the plate lens 1 with high accuracy. , The hot stamp sheet 3 is not likely to be scratched along the ridge a, and the chevron portion 4a of the marking jig 4 is
Is not likely to wear out early. FIG. 2 shows an embodiment different from the above, and is an explanatory view corresponding to FIG. 1 (A) of the embodiment. The difference between this example (FIG. 2) and the previous example (FIG. 1) is that a step with a dimension t = 0.5 mm is provided along both edges of the mark-shaped groove 1a ′ of the plate-shaped lens 1 ′. That is. With this structure, the outline of the mark is clearly displayed. FIG. 3 is a sectional view showing still another embodiment, in which the main members are shown facing each other in order to explain the shape of the used member. The cross-sectional shape of the mark-shaped groove 5a formed in the plate lens 5 of this example is an arc having a radius R 1 . The chevron portion 6 of the marking jig 6 made of an elastic member
The sectional shape of a is an arc having a radius R 2 <R 1 . Even if the hot stamp sheet is pressed according to the embodiment of FIG. 1 by using the plate-shaped lens 5 and the marking jig 6 configured as above, the same action and curing can be obtained. As can be understood from the embodiment of FIG. 3, in the present invention, making the apex angle of the chevron smaller than the base angle of the groove also means making the radius of curvature of the chevron smaller than the radius of curvature of the groove. It is meant to include.
