This has the disadvantage that the traveler seizes and scatters early, and the life of the ring is shortened.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional rings for spinning machines, and is made by applying a CVD method or a PVD method to a spinning machine ring made of carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, sintered steel, etc. 1 to 20μ thick on contact surface, surface hardness
The object of the present invention is to provide a ring for a spinning machine that forms a titanium carbide layer of Hv2500 to 3400 and contributes to improved wear resistance.

A ring for a spinning machine according to the present invention is constructed by forming a titanium carbide layer 2 with a thickness of 1 to 20 μm on the surface that will be in contact with the traveler, and then subjecting it to a quenching treatment.

Appropriate surface hardness is Hv2500-3400; if it is lower than this, the ring life will be shortened, and if it is higher than that, the fitting will be decreased.
