However, under the harsh operating conditions of today's spinning mills, conventional rings for spinning machines lack abrasion resistance and wear out prematurely, leading to unstable travel, frequent yarn breakage, and fuzzing. This has the drawback that the traveler seizes and scatters early, and the life of the ring is shortened.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional spinning machine rings, and includes TiCl 4 ,
By chemical vapor deposition in a gas atmosphere mainly composed of H 2 , OH 4 , and N 3 , a titanium carbide layer and a titanium nitride layer are formed on the ring and at least the surface that contacts the traveler, improving wear resistance. The purpose of this invention is to provide a ring for a spinning machine that contributes to this.

After carburizing and surface polishing the above ring, it is brought into contact with the traveler by chemical vapor deposition at 850 to 1050°C in a gas atmosphere containing TiCl 4 , H 2 , OH 4 , and N 2 as main components. On the surface, thickness 2~
A ring for a spinning machine according to the present invention is constructed by forming a titanium carbide layer 2 of 20 μm and a titanium nitride layer 3 of 1 μm, and then performing a quenching treatment.

The treated layers of the titanium carbide layer 2 and titanium nitride layer 3 can be applied to the entire surface of the ring, but it is only necessary to provide them on at least the surface of the ring that comes into contact with the traveler, and masking can be applied to the required parts before treatment. Ring A for spinning machines of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, and its cross-sectional hardness distribution curve is as shown in Fig. 2. As shown in Fig. 2, the outermost surface hardness is Hv 1900 to 2500°C, and furthermore, from a depth of 1 μm, the highest hardness is Hv 3300 to Hv3300. Since it is made of a titanium carbide layer having a hardness of 4000, it has a much higher hardness than the conventional carburized and quenched spinning machine ring B.

In addition, in the above embodiment, an example was shown in which it was applied to a single flange ring, but as shown in Fig. 4,
A titanium carbide layer 2 and a titanium nitride layer 3 are formed on the upper surface, inner shell surface, and lower surface of the vertical sintered ring 4, and titanium carbide is formed on the upper surface, inner shell surface, and lower surface of the conical sintered ring 5 as shown in FIG. A ring for a spinning machine according to the present invention can be constructed by forming layer 2 and a titanium nitride layer.

Incidentally, in each of the above embodiments, in order to further improve the surface precision, surface polishing may be performed again after the hardening treatment. In addition, although the treated layer in each embodiment is multi-layered, when only wear resistance is particularly required, only a titanium carbide layer may be formed on the ring surface.

Effects of the Invention The ring for a spinning machine of the present invention is made of carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, sintered steel, etc., and has a titanium carbide layer that has good adhesion to the base material on at least the surface that contacts the traveler. Because it has a titanium nitride layer, it blends well with the traveler and allows the traveler to run stably over a long period of time, preventing frequent yarn breakage, suppressing the occurrence of fuzz, and significantly extending the life of the ring. It is possible.

In addition, the outermost titanium nitride layer has good compatibility with the traveler and has good corrosion resistance, so when spinning flame-retardant fibers such as polyvinyl chloride fibers, vinylidene fibers, and modacrylic fibers, conventional spinning methods can be used. It does not rust in a short period of time like a regular ring, etc.
This invention has excellent effects.
