Conventionally, seats or headrests of vehicles, etc. have been formed by covering pad material with skin material, and in this case, it was common for the skin material and pad material to be formed independently and then assembled. . In order to eliminate such assembling work, a method has been adopted in which the skin material is placed in a foam mold and joined together when the pad material is foam molded.

Further, as shown in FIG. 5, when the skin material 2 and pad material 3 of the headrest 1 are integrally formed,
The headrest frame 7 is inserted inside the skin material 2 with the headrest stay 5 protruding outward, and then a stock solution of foamed synthetic resin is injected to form the pad material 3, and the end 2a of the skin material 2 is was trimmed on the bottom side of the headrest 1, then the stay 5 was inserted into the through hole 8a of the patch 8, and fixed to the bottom side of the headrest 1 with screws 9.

However, in the conventional integral molding method, the end 2a of the skin material 2 is held outside a foam mold (not shown), and after molding, the end 2a is attached to the pad material 3.
Since the terminal is processed by folding it back to the bottom side of the patch, the terminal processing is complicated, and the work of fixing the screw 9 of the patch 8 has to be done, which makes the work after molding the pad material 3 complicated, and the patch 8 does not have a good appearance. It had drawbacks such as worsening the

According to the present invention, the pad material is covered with the first skin material disposed on the lower mold and the second skin material disposed on the upper mold, and the pad material is covered with the first skin material disposed on the lower mold and the second skin material disposed on the upper mold.
A synthetic resin sheet is attached to one of the ends of the first and second skin materials at a position where the ends of the skin materials are close to each other, and the ends of the first and second skin materials are covered with this synthetic resin sheet. Since the skin material is placed in the foam mold in such a state, it is possible to prevent the stock solution of the foamed synthetic resin from leaking due to the position where the ends of the first and second skin materials are close to each other.
Therefore, there is no need to attach patches or the like.

1 to 4 schematically show an embodiment of the method of the present invention, and FIG. 1 shows a foam mold 11 for carrying out the method of the present invention. This foaming mold 11 includes a lower mold 12 and an upper mold 13. Molding surfaces 15 and 16 of the lower mold 12 and upper mold 13
A first skin material 18 and a second skin material 19 are disposed on each of the surfaces. An end 18a of the first skin material 18 disposed on the lower mold 12 and an end 19a of the second skin material 19 disposed on the upper mold 13
are arranged at positions close to each other, and the terminals 18a,
19a are arranged so as not to be separated from each other. Note that the terminals 18a and 19a may overlap to some extent. Further, the molding surface 15 of the lower mold 12,
The first skin material 18, the molding surface 16 of the upper mold 13, and the second skin material 19 do not need to have exactly the same shape, and some size is within an allowable range. The first and second skin materials 18 and 19 are formed from a skin 21 on the front side and a wadding 22 on the back side.

As shown in FIG. 4, a pad material 29 is formed by foaming and curing the foamed synthetic resin stock solution, and this pad material 29 is integrally joined to the back sides of the first and second skin materials 18 and 19. Headrest 31
is formed. When forming the pad material 29,
One free end 24a of the synthetic resin sheet 24,
The back surface of the end 19a of the second skin material 19 is not initially in a bonded state, but is brought into a bonded state by the source solution of the foamed synthetic resin. In addition to being attached to the first skin material 18, the synthetic resin sheet 24 may be attached to the end 19a of the second skin material 19.

The above is an embodiment of the method for integrally molding a skin material and a pad material according to the present invention. According to such a method, the skin material can be placed in a foam mold with great ease. However, the outer periphery of the pad material is completely covered with the skin material, there is no need to perform any end treatment of the skin material, and there is no risk of the foamed synthetic resin stock solution leaking out and staining the skin material, making it easy to use for patches etc. It is possible to obtain an economical method of integrally molding a skin material and a pad material, which does not require installation work and can significantly improve the appearance.
