PURPOSE:To prevent noise caused by air flow when an elevator cage runs as well as to dispose of foreign objects by allowing the elevator cage to be equipped with an elevator sill having a dust removing hole, a housing box beneath the cage, and with a closing mechanism section, and thereby constituting the closing mechanism section to be opened/closed at the engagement section of a lift path. CONSTITUTION:When an elevator cage normally runs, the bottom plate 11 of a housing box 10 is closed, foreign objects such as dust, mud and the like piled up in the guide groove 7 of a sill 6 drop down through a dust removing hole 8 into the housing box 10 so as to be accumulated therein temporarily.
