[Detailed Description of the Invention] <Industrial Application Field> The present invention relates to a pipe-shaped device (hereinafter referred to as a blood sedimentation tube) for measuring the sedimentation rate of erythrocytes.

<Conventional technology> Conventionally, a blood sedimentation tube (called a Westergren tube) as shown in Figure 5 has been used, which is a thick rod-shaped pipe made of glass with an inner diameter of 2.55 mm and a height of 300 mm. Then, the outer diameter of the pipe is tapered and the lower end is set as the lower end.
A 200mm scale is provided, and the 200mm point is set as the zero scale.

When in use, it should have an outer diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the blood collection tube (tube for collecting blood), and a blood sedimentation tube smaller than the outside diameter of the blood sedimentation tube should be inserted into the center and locked relatively firmly. Use a rubber stopper with a hole for insertion of a blood sedimentation tube. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the blood sedimentation tube 9 is inserted and locked into the rubber stopper 8, inserted into the blood collection tube 4 containing blood, and the blood sedimentation tube 9 with the rubber stopper 8 is advanced to an appropriate position in the blood collection tube 4. By doing so, the blood level was raised to the zero scale.

<Problems with the prior art> However, the conventional blood sedimentation tube described above uses a rubber stopper to raise the blood in the blood collection tube to a predetermined position in the blood collection tube (200 mm from the bottom end of the blood collection tube). Therefore, it was difficult to accurately align the blood surface to a predetermined position, and the operation was troublesome.

<Means for Solving the Problems> In other words, the blood sedimentation tube of the present invention has a rod-like pipe made of transparent glass or plastic whose outer diameter is tapered at both ends, and the upper open end of the pipe. The cap is airtightly covered with a rubber cap having an inner diameter substantially equal to the outer diameter of the needle and capable of being penetrated by a needle, and at least the needle can be inserted into the crown of the rubber cap. It is preferable that the through portion be relatively thick.

<Operation> The upper open end of the blood sedimentation tube of the present invention is hermetically closed with a rubber cap, so the open end of the blood sedimentation tube is inserted into the blood collection tube containing blood, and then a syringe is inserted into the rubber cap. By piercing the injection needle and sucking out the air in the blood sedimentation tube with the syringe, the blood level can be easily and accurately raised to a predetermined position.
