Abstract

PURPOSE:To make paint hard to generate running at the time of painting by forming a masking sheet for masking a part to be painted at the time of painting by providing a liquid absorbing layer to a surface layer part and providing a waterproof resin layer to the rear thereof. CONSTITUTION:A masking sheet is formed by providing liquid-absorbable paper 1 with a thickness of about 20mum to a surface layer part as a liquid absorbing layer and bonding a high density polyethylene film 2 with a thickness of about 20mum to the rear thereof as a waterproof resin layer. For example, a window part 3 as a part to be painted is covered with this masking sheet and, after the periphery of the masking sheet is bonded to a window frame 3a by an adhesive tape 4, aqueous paint is sprayed to the peripheral wall to perform painting without contaminating the window part 3. Even when the paint is applied to the masking tape, said paint is immediately absorbed in and held to the paper 1 being the liquid absorbing layer of the surface layer part to be prevented from running.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a masking sheet, for example, a polyethylene sheet or a vinyl sheet has been used, and when painting the outer wall of a building, etc., the portion to be coated, such as a window, which is not satisfactorily coated with paint, is covered with this. It was

Previously, a paint dissolved in a volatile solvent has been widely used as a paint to be applied to such a painting work. Paint is often used. However,
For example, the paint sprayed on the wall surface or the paint sprayed on the masking sheet covering the window may cause so-called dripping that flows down along the masking sheet. Since it is difficult to vaporize, dripping is likely to occur. When the liquid drips, the paint may reach the wall or floor surface lower than the masking sheet and stain them.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a masking sheet that is resistant to liquid dripping even if a paint is applied during coating.

To achieve this object, the masking sheet according to the present invention is characterized in that a liquid absorbing layer is provided on the surface layer and a waterproof resin layer is provided on the back surface of the liquid absorbing layer. And its effects are as follows.

In other words, when the liquid absorbing layer is provided on the surface layer, even if the masking sheet is coated with the paint, the solvent or the coating solution is absorbed by the liquid absorbing layer, so that the liquid does not easily drip. Further, since the waterproof resin layer is provided on the back surface of the liquid absorbing layer, the coating solution does not reach the back surface of the masking sheet, and therefore does not leach from the back surface. When spraying a vaporizable paint, part of it is fine mist or vaporized,
It is possible to pass through the waterproof resin layer, but since the liquid absorbing layer provided on the surface also adsorbs the mist and the paint in a vaporized state, they are prevented from passing through the waterproof layer. ..

As a result, since liquid dripping is unlikely to occur, it is possible to prevent the wall surface and floor surface below the portion covered with the masking sheet from being contaminated. Moreover, since the coating solution does not penetrate the masking sheet, the coating portion is not soiled or deteriorated. After all, the original role of the masking sheet can be more reliably exhibited.

Embodiments of the masking sheet according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in the cross-sectional view of FIG. 1, a liquid absorbing layer 1 having a thickness of 20 μm is provided on the surface layer as a liquid absorbing layer, and a waterproof resin layer having a thickness of 20 μm is provided on the back surface thereof.
The high-density polyethylene film 2 is attached to form a masking sheet. With this masking sheet,
As shown in FIG. 2, after covering the window portion 3 which is the portion to be coated and sticking the periphery of the masking sheet to the window frame 3a with the adhesive tape 4, the surrounding wall is simply sprayed with a water-based paint. Paper 1 which is the liquid absorbing layer of the surface layer immediately after the masking sheet is sprayed without staining 3
Since it is absorbed and retained in the liquid, the liquid does not drip as in the case of using a conventional masking sheet, and therefore the wall surface directly under the window is also free from stains due to liquid drip and a uniform coating can be achieved. ..

[Other Embodiments] The absorbent layer 1 is made of cloth, non-woven fabric, or the like.
Materials other than the above paper may be used. The waterproof resin layer 2 may be a resin layer other than polyethylene, such as polypropylene or vinyl chloride. Further, for example, it may be a low-density resin layer, a resin layer in which molecular orientation is uniaxially stretched or biaxially stretched, and stretched and strengthened. Masking sheet is not always 2
It is not necessary to form the structure only with layers, and for example, as shown in FIG. 3, the waterproof resin layer 2 may be interposed between two liquid absorbing layers 1. According to this configuration, even if the solvent of the paint using the vaporizable solvent may pass through the waterproof layer by aeration, it will be adsorbed by the inner liquid-absorbing layer. It is possible to more reliably prevent the part from being soiled or altered. Also, even if the front and back are mixed up during use, no inconvenience will occur.
