(1) Purpose of the invention Industrial application field The present invention relates to one of fatty acids represented by the following general formula.
R-COOH (in the formula, R represents a C3-5 linear or branched alkyl group) concerning a novel agricultural and horticultural fungicide containing seeds or a mixture of two or more types as an active ingredient. Therefore, the present invention can be effectively utilized particularly in the field of agriculture and horticulture. Prior Art The fatty acids used in the present invention are known and are used as raw materials for various chemical industries, such as raw materials for fragrances and sedatives, but their use as fungicides for agriculture and horticulture is unknown. Problems to be Solved by the Invention Until now, no fatty acid has been put to practical use as a fungicide for agriculture and horticulture. An object of the present invention is to provide a practical agricultural and horticultural fungicide that contains a specific fatty acid as an active ingredient. Means for Solving the Constituent Problems of the Invention The present inventors have intensively studied the applicability of various fatty acids as agricultural and horticultural fungicides. As a result, the active ingredient has the general formula R-COOH (R is It has been discovered that a novel drug containing one or a mixture of two or more fatty acids represented by (same as above) is extremely useful as a fungicide for agricultural and horticultural purposes, leading to the completion of the present invention. The fatty acids used in the present invention include the following. n-C 3 H 7 -COOH bytyric acid iso-C 3 H 7 -COOH isobutyric acid n-C 4 H 9 -COOH Valeric acid iso-C 4 H 9 -COOH isovaleric acid C 5 H 11 -COOH Caproic acid Each of these fatty acids may be used alone, but it is better to use a mixture of the two types than to use them alone.
Also, it is better to use it as a 3-type mixture, it is better to use it as a 2-type mixture, and it is better to use it as a 4-type mixture.
It is preferable to use them as a seed mixture because a more synergistic control effect can be obtained from each species. Effects The fatty acids used in the present invention are effective against apple scab, leaf spot, leaf rot, pear black spot, tomato variegation, sugar beet rot, eggplant half-body wilt, rice sesame leaf blight, etc. It is effective and can completely inhibit spore germination and hyphal growth of these pathogenic bacteria, and preventive or therapeutic control of diseases caused by these pathogens. These diseases occur on apples, pears, tomatoes, eggplants, sugar beets, rice, etc.
It does not cause any chemical damage to soybean leaves, rice, or fruit trees. Furthermore, since none of the fatty acids are toxic to humans, livestock, or seafood, they can be used with confidence. Examples Since the fatty acids according to the present invention are commercially available, it is easy to use them. In that case, when there is only one type of active ingredient, a commercially available product may be used as it is in the form of various formulations as described below. In addition, when using a mixture of two or more types, commercially available fatty acids may be used as a desired mixture and then formulated into a formulation. Another way to obtain fatty acids is from the weed ``Portulaca Oleracea L.''
It can also be obtained by immersing it in water at 50-60°C for a long period of time. In this case, it is obtained as a mixture (undiluted solution) of approximately equal amounts of caproic acid, butyric acid, valeric acid, and isovaleric acid (the ratio of maximum content to minimum content is within about 3:1). This may be applied as it is, or diluted 3 to 10 times and applied or sprayed before and after the onset of disease. Alternatively, extract the stock solution with an appropriate solvent to obtain a mixture of the four types and use this as it is as the active ingredient, or isolate it, or obtain any mixture of the isolated substances and use this as the active ingredient. It may also be used in various formulations as described below. When actually using the agricultural and horticultural fungicide of the present invention, the fatty acid of the present invention may be sprayed as it is on the soil or foliage of crops and fruit cultivation areas, but in order to fully exert its bactericidal action, Wettable powders, emulsions, aqueous solutions, oil suspensions, etc. are prepared by blending the fatty acids of the present invention with suitable carriers and auxiliary agents, such as surfactants, binders, stabilizers, etc., in a conventional manner. powder,
It is preferable to use it in the form of a formulation such as fine granules or coarse powder. In the above, the carrier may be either solid or liquid, as long as it is commonly used in agricultural and horticultural chemicals, and is not limited to a specific carrier. For example, solid carriers include mineral powders (kaolin, bentonite, clay, montmorillonite,
Talc, diatomaceous earth, mica, vermiculite, gypsum, calcium carbonate, apatite, white carbon, slaked lime, silica sand, ammonium sulfate, urea, etc.) vegetable powder (soybean flour, wheat flour, wood flour, tobacco flour, starch,
crystalline cellulose, etc.), polymer compounds (petroleum resin,
(polyvinyl chloride, ketone resin, dammar gum, etc.), alumina, silicates, sugar polymers, highly dispersed silicic acid, waxes, etc. Liquid carriers include water, alcohols (methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, n-propyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butanol, ethylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, etc.), aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, chlorobenzene, etc.). , Kumen,
methylnaphthalene, etc.), halogenated hydrocarbons (chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, dichloromethane,
chloroethylene, trichlorofluoromethane, dichlorodifluoromethane, etc.), ethers (ethyl ether, ethylene oxide, dioxane,
tetrahydrofuran, etc.), ketones (acetone,
methyl ethyl ketone, cyclohexanone, methyl isobutyl ketone, etc.), esters (ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, ethylene glycol acetate, amyl acetate, etc.), acid amides (dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide, etc.), nitriles (acetonitrile, probionitrile, acrylonitrile, etc.) , sulfoxides (dimethyl sulfoxide, etc.), alcohol ethers (ethylene glycol monomethyl ether, ethylene glycol monoethyl ether, etc.), aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbons (n-hexane, cyclohexane), industrial gasoline (petroleum ether, solvent naphtha, etc.), petroleum distillates (paraffins,
kerosene, diesel oil, etc.). Also, when preparing formulations such as emulsions, wettable powders, flowables, etc., emulsification, dispersion, solubilization, wetting, foaming, lubrication,
Surfactants (or emulsifiers) are used for purposes such as spreading. Nonionic surfactants (polyoxyethylene alkyl ether,
polyoxyethylene alkyl ester, polyoxyethylene sorbitan alkyl ester, sorbitan alkyl ester, etc.), anionic type (alkylbenzene sulfonate, alkyl sulfosuccinate, alkyl sulfate, polyoxyethylene alkyl sulfate, aryl sulfonate, etc.), cationic type Examples include [alkylamines (laurylamine, stearyltrimethylammonium chloride, alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, etc.), polyoxyethylene alkylamines], amphoteric types [carboxylic acids (betaine type), sulfate ester salts, etc.], but of course The present invention is not limited to these examples. In addition to these, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC),
Various adjuvants such as gum arabic, polyvinyl acetate, gelatin, casein, sodium alginate, gum tragacanth, and the like can be used. In addition, the agricultural and horticultural fungicide of the present invention has the following properties:
Can be mixed with other fungicidal active ingredients. When formulating the agricultural and horticultural fungicide of the present invention, the blending ratio of the active ingredient in the formulation should be 1 to 10% of the total amount of the formulation in the case of formulations such as wettable powders, emulsifiers, liquids, floor pull agents, oil agents, etc. 95% by weight, typically 10-50
% by weight. Further, powders and granules generally range from 1 to 10% by weight. To use these, wettable powders, emulsions, solutions, floor pull agents, oil agents, etc. are diluted with water and used at a concentration of generally 10 to 1000 PPM, preferably 100 to 500 PPM. In addition, concentrated liquids such as oils, emulsions, and flowable agents can be sprayed or applied as they are without being diluted to control diseases. Examples of the method for formulating the agricultural and horticultural fungicide of the present invention will be shown next, but the present invention is not limited to these Examples. In addition, parts in Examples indicate parts by weight. Example 1 Wettable powder 20 parts of caproic acid, 5 parts of polyoxyethylene alkylaryl ether, 3 parts of calcium lignin sulfonate and 72 parts of diatomaceous earth are uniformly mixed and ground to obtain a wettable powder containing 20% of the active ingredient. Instead of the caproic acid mentioned above, various hydration effects can be achieved by using butyric acid, valeric acid, isovaleric acid, etc. alone or any mixture of caproic acid and two, three, or four types of these fatty acids. agent can be obtained. Example 2 Emulsion 30 parts of butyric acid, 50 parts of xylene and 20 parts of polyoxyethylene alkylaryl ether are uniformly dissolved and mixed to obtain an emulsion containing 30% of the active ingredient. Example 3 Powder 3 parts of valeric acid, 0.5 part of silicic anhydride fine powder, 0.5 part of calcium stearate, 50 parts of clay, and talc
49.5 parts were uniformly mixed and ground to obtain a powder containing 3% of the active ingredient. By replacing the active ingredients of Examples 2 and 3 with one or a mixture of two or more other fatty acids, various emulsions and powders can be obtained. (3) Effects of the invention Next, the disease control effects of the agricultural and horticultural fungicides of the present invention will be specifically shown using test examples. Test Example 1 Antibacterial test against various pathogenic bacteria The compound of the present invention was dissolved in acetone, and 1 ml of the compound was dissolved in acetone.
and medium cooled to around 60℃ (filamentous fungi, PSA medium,
PH5.8) Mix 20ml in a 9cm diameter chaire,
Prepare agar plates containing drugs at predetermined concentrations. After removing the top cover overnight and letting the acetone evaporate, a spore suspension of the test bacteria previously cultured on a slant medium is streaked onto the drug-containing medium using a platinum loop. and 48 at 24℃
After culturing for a period of time, the growth status of each bacterium was investigated according to the following criteria. The results are shown in Table 1. Investigation criteria (bacterial growth criteria) 1: No bacterial growth is observed ⊥: Only a few colonies are observed on the bacterial solution smear, and the growth is significantly suppressed〓: Bacterial growth is observed on almost the entire surface of the smeared area, but the growth is significantly suppressed as it does not cover the entire surface of the smeared area. Inferior: Bacterial growth is observed on the entire surface of the smeared area, and the growth is normal.

To this, 50 PPM of Hiten A (trade name of a spreading agent manufactured by Hokuko Chemical Industries, Ltd.) was added to a diluted solution of a wettable powder with a predetermined concentration prepared according to Example 1, and the mixture was sprinkled to the extent that it dripped. For sperhyu fermented products, after diluting them with tap water, add a high-temperature powder in the same way as hydrating powders.
A50PPM was added and sprayed. One day after spraying, apple rot and disease bacteria (VALSA.
A piece of agar containing bacteria was punched out using an 8 mm cork borer and inoculated onto the burnt area. After storing in a humid room at 25°C for 14 days, the degree of expansion of the lesions was investigated. The results are shown in Table 2.
