Ink jet printers use ink that is difficult to dry in order to prevent nozzle clogging, and the components of this ink are generally those in which a binder, dye, solvent, additive, etc. are dissolved in water. Therefore, it is necessary to use a recording sheet having good water absorbability, and special paper having good ink absorbency is usually used.

In order to improve these points and to improve the ink absorbability on the substrate, for example, polyvinyl alcohol, starch, gelatin, cellulose derivatives such as hydroxylethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, polyacrylic acid, polymethacrylic acid, It has been proposed to provide a water-soluble polymer receptive layer for such salts, but even if the conventional receptive layer satisfies the ink absorbency, the water resistance is poor and the receptive layer and the recording area are not exposed to water. It has a problem that it melts or causes blocking when a sheet is laminated with a sticky surface. An object of the present invention is to solve the above problems and to provide a recording sheet having good ink absorbency and printing quality and excellent water resistance.

In the recording sheet of the present invention, a porous layer is provided on at least one surface of the base material. The porous layer referred to in the present invention has a layer structure having a large number of voids inside and on the surface of the layer. The formation of a porous layer having a large number of voids inside and on the surface of the layer can be achieved by dispersing inorganic and / or organic particles in a known polymer binder. Above all, it is particularly preferable that these voids are so-called through holes that communicate with the outside in the porous layer from the viewpoint of ink absorbability.

In the present invention, the peak pore size in the pore size distribution curve of the pores of the porous layer is 0.06 to 2.0 μm, preferably 0.08 to 1.0 μm, more preferably 0.10.
˜0.5 μm is desirable. When the peak pore size of the pore size distribution curve is less than 0.06 μm, the ink absorbency is insufficient, and the peak pore size of the pore size distribution curve is 2.0.
When it exceeds μm, the surface smoothness is lowered and the adhesion with the coating layer is lowered. The pore area ratio is preferably 20 to 85%, preferably 30 to 75%, and more preferably 35 to 65%. When the pore area ratio is less than 20%, the ink absorbency is lowered. If it exceeds 85%, it tends to take a form in which holes are partially connected, and bleeding tends to occur.

Further, the surface of the porous layer in the present invention has a waviness of 0.2 μm or more, preferably 0.3 μm or more, more preferably 0.4 μm or more, 5/40 μm or more, preferably 7/40 μm. Above, more preferably 1
It is desirable to have 0/40 μm or more. Height 0.2
If the number of wavinesses of μm or more is less than 5/40 μm, the ink absorption speed tends to be slow. Furthermore, the waviness index of the surface of the porous layer is 0.035 to 0.3 μm, preferably 0.045 to 0.2 μm, and more preferably 0.
When it is 055 to 0.13 μm, the absorption speed of the ink is improved, which is preferable.

The resin [A] may be water-soluble or water-dispersible, and its solubility depends on the type of the copolymerization component, the compounding ratio, and the presence or absence of the addition of a hydrophilic organic compound used as a dispersion stability imparting agent. The hydrophilic organic compound is preferably added in a small amount so long as the dispersion stability is not impaired, though it varies depending on the type and the amount of the compound. The hydrophilic organic compounds are aliphatic and alicyclic alcohols, esters, ethers, and ketones. Examples of alcohols include methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, n-butanol, and glycols such as ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. Examples thereof include methyl cellosolve, ethyl cellosolve, n-butyl cellosolve, ethyl acetate as esters, dioxane and tetrahydrofuran as ethers, and methyl ethyl ketone as ketones. The hydrophilic organic compounds may be used alone or in combination of two or more as required. Among the hydrophilic organic compounds, butyl cellosolve and ethyl cellosolve are particularly preferable from the viewpoint of dispersion performance, dispersion stability and coating property. Furthermore, resin [A]
As with the ester-forming alkali metal sulfonate compound of the copolymer composition, an increase in the amount of components that particularly contribute to hydrophilicity significantly deteriorates the water resistance of the coated coating layer, so solubility, dispersion stability, etc. It is preferably a small amount unless

In the present invention, the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the resin [A] is in the range of 30 to 80 ° C., preferably 50 to 75 ° C. When the glass transition temperature of the resin [A] is less than 30 ° C., the coating layer is inferior in water resistance, alkali resistance and heat resistance, and various harmful effects are increased. If the temperature exceeds 80 ° C., the dispersion stability will be poor, and it will be extremely difficult to graft a compound having an unsaturated bond.

The resin [A] can be usually produced by a conventional polyester production technique. That is, the above-mentioned acid component and glycol component are obtained by esterification or melt polycondensation using a reaction catalyst such as a transesterification catalyst or a polymerization catalyst to obtain a desired polymer. Furthermore, solution polycondensation can also be applied. At this time, in any case, various modifiers, stabilizers and the like may be added within a range that does not adversely affect the grafting reaction. Further, the presence of the hydrophilic organic compound is required to obtain an aqueous dispersion of the resin [A] that lacks water solubility. Usually, the resin [A] is mixed with the hydrophilic organic compound, and water is added with stirring, preferably with heating and stirring, or the above mixture is added to water with stirring. When the solid content concentration of the obtained aqueous dispersion is high, the fine particles of the resin [A] are likely to reaggregate, destabilize the uniform dispersion system, and make the grafting reaction difficult.

The cross-linking agent as used in the present invention means the resin [A].
Alternatively, it is a cross-linking agent for thermally cross-linking with a functional group present in the polymer [C], such as a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, a glycidyl group or an amide group, and finally forming a coating layer having a three-dimensional network structure. is there. In the present invention, when a melamine-based crosslinking agent, a urea-based crosslinking agent or an epoxy-based crosslinking agent is used as the crosslinking agent, a coating layer having a particularly large crosslinking effect and excellent water resistance and solvent resistance is preferable.
Specific examples of the epoxy-based cross-linking agent include polyepoxy compounds, diepoxy compounds, and monoepoxy compounds. Examples of the polyepoxy compounds include polyglycidyl sorbitol, polyglycidyl ether, polyglycerol polyglycidyl ether, and pentaerythritol. Examples of the polyglycidyl ether, diglycerol polyglycidyl ether, triglycidyl tris (2-hydroxylethyl) isocyanate, glycerol polyglycidyl ether, trimethylolpropane polyglycidyl ether, and diepoxy compound include neopentyl glycol diglycidyl ether, 1,6 -Hexanediol diglycidyl ether, resorcin diglycidyl ether, ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, polyethylene Examples of the glycol glycol diglycidyl ether, propylene glycol diglycidyl ether, polypropylene glycol diglycidyl ether, polytetramethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, and monoepoxy compound include allyl glycidyl ether, 2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether, and phenyl glycidyl ether. Be done. Examples of the urea-based curing agent include dimethylol urea, dimethylol ethylene urea, dimethylol propylene urea, tetramethylol acetylene urea, and 4methoxy-5 dimethyl propylene urea dimethylol. As the melamine-based cross-linking agent, a compound obtained by reacting a methylol melamine derivative obtained by condensing melamine and formaldehyde with a lower alcohol such as methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol, and etherification, and a mixture thereof are preferable. Examples of the methylolmelamine derivative include monomethylolmelamine, dimethylolmelamine, trimethylolmelamine, tetramethylolmelamine, pentamethylolmelamine, and hexamethylolmelamine. These cross-linking agents may be used alone or in combination of two or more depending on the case. The addition amount of the cross-linking agent is preferably 0.001 to 60 parts by weight, more preferably 0.001 to 20 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the solid content in the mixture of the resin [A] and the polymer [C]. .. If the addition amount is less than 0.001 part by weight, the crosslinking effect is low and the solvent resistance and alkali resistance of the coating layer deteriorate. If the amount is more than 60 parts by weight, the adhesiveness of the coating layer is lowered, and further the coating property is deteriorated, and it is difficult to form a uniform layer.

The coating method of the porous layer and the coating layer is not particularly limited, but may be a gravure coating method, a reverse coating method,
Known methods such as a kiss coat method, a die coat method and a bar coat method can be applied. At this time, by applying known surface treatment such as corona discharge treatment or primer treatment in air or other atmosphere on the film as needed before coating, not only the coating property is improved but also the porosity is improved. The quality layer can be more firmly formed on the film surface.
The concentration of the coating material and the conditions for drying the coating film are not particularly limited, but it is desirable that the conditions for drying the coating film be set within a range that does not adversely affect various characteristics of the substrate.
