Aggregates of shredded tobacco can be obtained through the process of transporting the shredded tobacco to a winding process, or by impregnating the shredded tobacco with an organic liquid and then soaking it in high-temperature hot air, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1879-1879. This often occurs during the processing process in which shredded tobacco is fed into a stream and expanded to increase the filling capacity of the shredded tobacco, but especially in the latter process, some of the polymeric components in the shredded tobacco are extracted by contact with the organic liquid. Therefore, during shredding of tobacco after the expansion process, there are produced good shredded lumps that are easy to unwrap and can be recovered, and bad shredded lumps that are stuck black with tar-like substances and are difficult to recover by unwinding. . Conventionally, this type of shredded tobacco agglomerates are separated from normal good shreds by air separation based on the difference in specific gravity using an air rug, etc., and then separated into good shreds that can be recovered manually and defective shreds that are difficult to recover. The shredded lumps are sorted and separated, and the good shredded lumps are unraveled manually.

The present invention has been developed by focusing on such conventional problems, and in particular, it is possible to identify defective shredded lumps that are difficult to recover by unwinding from the aggregated lumps of shredded tobacco generated during the tobacco swelling treatment process, and to collect them by unwinding. To provide a device for separating and unwrapping shredded tobacco agglomerates, which can automatically separate easily good shredded agglomerates from shredded tobacco and at the same time unwrap the good shredded hunks into individual shredded tobacco.

In the figure, the device for separating and unwinding shredded tobacco agglomerates of the present invention is fixed to the upper part of the vibrating conveyor 3 at an angle in the width direction, and has protrusions 2 on the plate surface in the same direction as the vibration direction of the vibrating conveyor 3. The separator plate 1 includes a plurality of strips (four strips in the illustrated example) of the separator plate 1, and a transfer conveyor 4 disposed along the slanted lower edge of the separator plate 1 in the same direction as the vibrating conveyor 3.

In the above configuration, the separation plate 1 has a thickness of about 3 mm,
It is made of an aluminum plate with a width of about 900 mm and a length of about 2000 mm, and the protrusion 2 provided on the plate surface has a height of about 5 mm.
It is made of a rectangular bar made of aluminum, etc., with a diameter of ~10 mm and a width of approximately 20 mm. Further, at the rear end of the separating plate 1, a developing plate 5 having a height of about 50 mm and a length of about 400 mm is attached in contact with the upper edge of the protruding strip 2. Note that 6 is a frame provided on the upper and rear edges of the separating plate 1, and 7 is a chute for dropping the shredded tobacco agglomerates, which is arranged above the rear end of the separating plate 1.

The separating plate 1 is fixed at a constant inclination angle to the upper part of the vibrating conveyor 3 by an angle 8. This angle of inclination is set at an angle that provides the optimum separation efficiency when separating defective shredded lumps and good shredded lumps from the shredded tobacco lumps, and is freely variable within the range of 15 to 30°.

Next, the vibration conveyor 3 is formed in a trough shape and is equipped with a vibration mechanism (not shown). Further, a transfer conveyor 4 disposed in the same direction as the vibration conveyor 3
is usually formed by a belt conveyor, and a guide plate 9 for preventing spillage is disposed on the top of the belt conveyor.

First, the vibration conveyor 3 has a vibration frequency of about 500 to 550 rpm,
Under the condition that the swing width is approximately 14 to 17 mm, and the transfer conveyor 4 is approximately
Each object is driven in the direction of the arrow at a speed of 3 m/min. Next, aggregates separated from ordinary fine tobacco shreds by an air separation device such as an air leg (not shown) are dropped and supplied to the rear end of the separating plate 1 from the falling chute 7.

The aggregates falling onto the separating plate 1 are spread out by the spreading plate 5 and distributed to the upper edges of the plurality of protrusions 2, respectively. While the sorted agglomerates are vibrated and transferred along the upper edge of the convex strip 2 on the separating plate 1 which vibrates together with the vibrating conveyor 3, the ball-shaped and relatively low-density fine chopped chunks are transferred to the convex strip. 2 and fall onto the transfer conveyor 4, and are unwound into individual shredded tobacco due to the impact of the fall. The unwound ordinary fine tobacco shreds pass through the hopper 10 and are returned to a predetermined place from the bottom through the air pipe 11 for recovery.

On the other hand, since the defective chopped lumps are small lumps with a relatively large specific gravity that are fixed with tar-like substances, they do not go over the protrusion 2 even due to vibration, and move in the arrow direction along the upper edge of the protrusion 2. Then, it falls from the front edge of the separating plate 1 into the trough 3a of the vibrating conveyor 3, and is discharged from a pit 3b provided at the front end of the trough 3a at any time.

By using the device of the present invention, the inclination angle of the separating plate 1 is determined.
25 degrees, a vibration conveyor (separator plate) frequency of 545 rpm, a width of 17 mm, a height of 2 protrusions 2 of 10 mm, and 4 pieces of tobacco. As a result of a separation test of defective shredded agglomerates and good shredded agglomerates, a separation efficiency of approximately 82% (weight of recovered good shreds/total amount of shredded tobacco agglomerates x 100) was obtained.
