Description
考案の目的 Purpose of invention
本考案は、電子レンジに入れて加熱することに
よりポツプコーンをつくることのできる電子レン
ジ調理用ポツプコーン包装体に関する。

ンジで加熱調理できるような包装体が市販されて
いる。
そのような包装体は、代表的には角底の紙袋に
調味料と油脂を配合したポツプコーンを入れて封
をしただけのものであり、はぜ加減が足らなかつ
たり、あるいは加熱しすぎて風味を損ねたりし
て、いまひとつ不満足であつた。

本考案の電子レンジ調理用ポツプコーン包装体
は、第1図に示すように、電子レンジ加熱に耐え
るプラスチツク材料を成形し、中央部11を揚底
にして中心から周辺部に向つて下る傾斜をもつた
底面を形成するとともに、下段フランジ13およ
び上段フランジ14を設けた容器1に、必要な調
味料および油脂を配合したポツプコーン材料5を
入れ、下段フランジ13に折りたたんだプラスチ
ツクフイルム2を気密に、かつ残留する空気を少
なくしてシールした上で上段フランジに引きはが
しタブ31つきの蓋3を弱シールし、容器1の底
にマイクロ波を吸収して発熱する発熱体4を、上
記容器とはその周辺部においてのみ接するように
付属させてなる。
容器1およびプラスチツクフイルム2の材料
は、電子レンジ加熱に耐えるもの、代表的にはポ
リエステルを用いる。ポリプロピレンなど、ポリ
オレフインも使用可能である。容器の形状は、円
形の落し蓋式が適当であつて、これはたとえば真
空成形により容易に得ることができる。
蓋3は、電子レンジ加熱時には剥がすものであ
つて、ガスバリヤ性の高いアルミ箔積層材などを
用いて、流通時の保存性をよくすることが望まし
い。発熱体4は、たとえばカーボンを多量に含む
導電性インキをベタ印刷したものや、ポリエステ
ルフイルムにアルミ蒸着を施したものを用いれば
よい。上記の包装体は、容器を船形の紙カートン
に収容した形態にすることが好ましい。その場
合、発熱体4はこの紙カートンに貼り付ければよ
い。電子レンジには蓋3をとり除いて入れ、調理
後はカートン部分を手に持てば、熱い思いをする
ことなく取り出せる。

度が高まるから、その部分にあつたポツプコーン
がはぜる。
はぜるに従つてポツプコーン粒中の水分が水蒸
気となつて放出されるから、気密の容器内は体積
が膨脹する。折りたたんでシールしたフイルム2
がもち上つてドーム形状となり、この体積膨脹を
吸収する。はぜたポツプコーン粒はフイルムのド
ームに当つて落下し、容器の中央すなわち揚底の
部分11に集まる。それに代つて、未だはぜてな
いポツプコーン粒が容器底部の周辺部12に沈
み、加熱されて次々とはぜる。揚底の形成に伴う
容器底部の傾斜は、はぜてない粒が転がり落ちて
温度の高い周辺部に集まることを助ける。このた
め、少量の油脂で全部の粒を効率よくはぜさせる
ことができる。
全部のポツプコーン粒がはぜ終るころには、フ
イルムのドームは最大限膨脹して、第2図に示す
ように、はぜたポツプコーンで充満する。レンジ
加熱の時間が十分であるかどうかは、この充満の
様子で判断できる。
そこでレンジから取り出してフイルムを切り開
けば、できたてのポツプコーンを賞味することが
できる。
考案の効果
本考案の電子レンジ調理用ポツプコーン包装体
は、家庭で手軽にポツプコーンを調理して賞味す
ることを可能にする。電子レンジの容量(ワツト
数)の大小による加熱の過不足の問題はなく、常
に適切なはぜ加減で風味のよいポツプコーンが得
られる。
プラスチツク成形品の容器は体裁がよく、ポツ
プコーンを手にとりやすいので、別の容器にあけ
替えることなく給仕できる。
