When the end face of a long material or a short material W as shown in FIG. 13 is to be tenoned like F or G, it is often processed using a tenoner. As shown in FIG. 11, this tenoner is a material feeding chain H,
This is a device that feeds the plate material W by placing it on the plate and pressing both sides of the upper part with material holders J and J, and cuts both sides of the plate material W with saws K and K to form a predetermined mortise groove. These days, such tenona are made by determining the dimensions of both ends of the board, bevelling it, cutting it into a joint, etc.
It has come to have a variety of uses and functions, such as carving grooves and processing equipment for plate materials.

As shown in the figure, one plate presser J comes into contact with the other, so it is not possible to process a narrower plate. In addition, as the width of the plate becomes narrower, it becomes difficult to adjust the processing speed of the plate (the conveyance speed of the plate), and depending on the type and shape of the plate, it may be necessary to change the conveyance speed. requires some ingenuity.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, this invention has two frames installed above the bed, one of which is a fixed side and the other is a movable side that can be moved in a direction perpendicular to the material feeding direction, and the material is fed to each frame. In a tenoner in which a material chain and a material presser are arranged, the material presser arranged on the frame on the moving side is movable up and down with respect to a guide installed on the frame, and is also moved above the guide. When the movable frame is brought close to the fixed frame in this state, the material presser on the movable side is positioned above the material presser on the fixed side.

On the other hand, when processing a narrow plate material, the frame is moved on a rail installed on the bed so as to be close to the stationary frame. However, if the width of the plate material is quite narrow and it cannot be held with both material pressers in parallel, the material press installed on the movable frame is moved upward and then brought closer. Then, this material holder on the moving side is located exactly above the material holder on the fixed side, so if you move the material holder on the fixed side a little forward and lower it in this state, you can hold the plate material only with the material holder on the fixed side. I can do it. In this way, it is possible to process grooves even on fairly narrow plate materials.

is installed on the moving side frame 60 side, but the entire frame 60 on which the material feeding chain 2, material presser 6, guide 40, etc. are mounted is mounted on a rail installed on the bed 70 as described later in order to match the plate material to be processed. It is designed to be moved back and forth as indicated by arrows A and B.

The main parts of the tenona according to this invention are constructed as described above, and when performing end face processing of a normal wide plate material W, the frame 60 is moved in the direction indicated by the arrow A on the rail of the bed 70, as shown in FIG. material holders 5 and 6 to adjust the width to match the plate material.
is lowered in a parallel state to hold down the plate material and process it.
The frame 60 is moved, as shown in FIG. 5, by screwing a male threaded rod 71 into the lower part of the frame 60 and driving the male threaded rod 71 with a motor 72. 73 is a transmission mechanism for this purpose.

On the other hand, when processing the end face of a narrow plate material W, the frame 60 is moved in the direction of arrow B on the rail of the bed 70, but if the width of the plate material is quite narrow and the material pressers 5 and 6 are parallel, it is difficult to hold it down. If this is not possible, as shown in FIG. 5, the material presser 6 is moved upward and then the frame 60 is brought closer. Then, the material presser 6 is exactly the material presser 5.
Since it is located above, in this state, if the material presser 5 is moved forward a little and lowered, the plate material W can be held by the material presser 5 alone. In this way, it is possible to process grooves even on fairly narrow plate materials.

is rotatably mounted, and a belt 19 wrapped around pulleys 20 and 21 is placed over the roller 18 so that it can be transported together with the plate material. In this way, the material presser is structured so that the belt 19 placed over the rotatably mounted roller 18 can be conveyed together with the plate material. When holding the plate material, it is possible to make good contact with the entire plate material, so that the cross-sectional area of the plate material can be reduced. This is effective when the material is small or the feeding speed is slow.

FIG. 10 is a front view of another embodiment of the material retainer 6' used in the tenoner according to this invention, and FIG. 2 is a side view thereof. The material presser 6' of this embodiment has a shaft 27 fixed to the frame 26, and the shaft 27 is fixed to the frame 26.
A fixture 28 is fixed to the frame 26, and a roller 29 is rotatably attached to the fixture 28. In this case, the plate material is directly pressed by a large number of freely rotatable rollers 29, but the material presser 6 having such a structure is most suitable for a relatively wide plate material or a case where the material feeding speed is high.

Since the tenoner according to this invention has the structure described in detail above, it is possible to perform tenon processing even on the end face of a plate material whose width is considerably narrower than that of the conventional method. Therefore, even plate materials that could not be joined conventionally can be joined by tenon processing, and resources can be used effectively. Furthermore, it will be possible to provide a wide variety of bonding materials for furniture and building materials.
