この考案は、四サイクルエンジンの動弁装置に

四サイクルエンジンは、シリンダーヘツドの燃
焼室に、吸気及び排気用の傘形バルブを設けてい
る。傘形バルブは、一般に、シリンダーヘツドの
燃焼室側からシリンダーヘツドに設けたバルブガ
イドに摺動自在に挿入して、バルブスプリングで
閉じる方向に付勢し、クランクシヤフトに連動す
るカムシヤフトのカムの回転によつて、傘形バル
ブをバルブスプリングに抗して押下げて開くよう
にしている。バルブスプリングは、コンル状で内
側に傘形バルブとバルブガイドが入るようになつ
ている。例えば、特開昭56−162216号公報、実開
昭52−117714号公報参照。一方、四サイクルエン
ジンは、吸気効率や排気効率を高めるために、二
つの吸気バルフや二つの排気バルブを並設して開
口面積を大きくする方式や、弁機構を簡素化する
ために、一つの吸気バルブと一つの排気バルブを
ほぼ平行に並設して一本のカムシヤフトで吸気バ
ルブと排気バルブを直接駆動する方式が知られて
いる。これらの方式の場合、バルブスプリングが
バルブガイドの外側に配置されていて、外径が大
きくなるので、二つ並べたバルブ間寸法が大きく
なり、バルブ径が制約されて、開口面積を大きく
できない不都合がある。

ら、シリンダーヘツド2に圧入したバルブガイド
4に、摺動自在に挿入する。バルブガイド4の上
端部分は、シリンダーヘツド2の段部5より突出
しており、このバルブガイド4の上端突出部分の
上方を覆う円筒状のカラー6が前記段部5に取付
けられている。カラー6は、上部の孔7から潤滑
