り、カムシャフトの位置が両側にできて、レイアウト上
都合がよい。ところが、部品点数が増して製造コストが
高くつき、重量も重くなる不都合がある。例えば実開昭
60−180740号公報参照。一つのカムシャフト
で、吸気弁と排気弁を共に開閉するようにすれば、カム
シャフトが一つで足りて部品点数を少くできるが、ロッ
カーアームなどの組付け上の問題などがあって問題が多
い。例えば特開昭61−123746号公報参照。

て、軸受けキャップ13で、回転自在に軸架する。軸受

クランク軸とタイミングベルト又はチエンなどで連結さ
れて連動回転する。排気ロッカーアーム14は、基端を

は、短いものを複数にしてあって、筒体4に挿入できる
ようにした軸受け17で、シリンダーヘッド1の上面に

2を設けたもの一つでよくて、部品点数を少く軽量にで

け、軸受け17でシリンダーヘッド1の上面に保持させ
るので、組付け性もよい。軸受けキャップ13と軸受け
17は、鋳鉄製にできて、シリンダーヘッド1の上面に

ラグを挿入螺着し、カムシャフトを排気弁側に寄せて軸
受けキャップでシリンダーヘッド上面に回転自在に軸架
し、排気ロッカーアームを揺動させて排気弁を開閉し、
筒体に挿入した軸受けで、シリンダーヘッド上にロッカ
ーシャフトを保持させ、ロッカーシャフトに吸気ロッカ
ーアームを軸着し、カムシャフトで揺動させて吸気弁を
開閉するようにしたので、全体として高性能エンジンに
でき、一つのカムシャフトで安価軽量にできる。又ロッ
カーシャフトの組付け性もよく、軸受けキャップと軸受
けを鋳鉄製にできて、剛性も高く騒音の少いものにでき
る。
