2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, the work of connecting passenger cars or freight cars on railroad tracks has been performed with an intervening guide. For example, when a vehicle to be connected is pushed by a driving vehicle such as a diesel car to connect to a stationary vehicle, one guide member rides on the vehicle to be connected and visually checks the distance between the stationary vehicle and a stationary vehicle or a radio. The communication device gives instructions to the driver of the driving vehicle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS FIG. 1 shows a case where a vehicle 12 to be connected to a stationary vehicle 11 is pushed by a railcar 13 to be connected. Here, a distance detecting device 20 using laser light is installed on the connecting surface of the vehicle 11, and a reflecting plate 30 that reflects the laser light from the distance detecting device 20 is installed on the connecting surface of the vehicle 12. Of course, the distance detection device 20 may be provided in the vehicle 12 and the reflector 30 may be provided in the vehicle 11. Further, when the vehicle body is made of aluminum or the like and the connecting surface has a portion having a high reflectance, the reflecting plate 30 may be omitted.
The distance detection device 20 has a function of wirelessly transmitting the detected distance information, as described later. The railcar 13 is provided with a receiving station device 40 that receives and processes the distance information transmitted from the distance detecting device 20.

Referring to FIG. 2, the distance detecting device 20 is a radiation detecting device.
The distance meter 21, a modem 22 according to the standard RS-232C, a transmitter 23, and an antenna 24. The laser range finder 21 may be of a known type and, for example, sends a measurement result in units of meters to the modem 22 as a distance detection signal. The modem 22 modulates the carrier wave with the distance detection signal from the laser range finder 21 and outputs it to the transmitter 23 as a modulation signal for transmission. The transmitter 23 transmits the input modulated signal through the antenna 24.

The signal processing circuit 44 processes the demodulated signal containing the distance information and outputs a visual display signal for visual display in the display circuit 45 and an auditory display signal for auditory display in the voice synthesis circuit 46. To do. In the display circuit 45, the distance information is continuously displayed on the LCD or the like based on the visual display signal, with the minimum unit being about 0.5 m, for example. On the other hand, in the voice synthesizing circuit 46, a well-known voice synthesizing device is used to synthesize a voice signal indicating distance information based on the auditory display signal, and the voice synthesizing signal is, for example, 0.
Output every 5 m change or at regular intervals of about 1 to 2 seconds. The voice synthesis signal is output as a voice from the speaker 47.

Although the receiving station device 40 is shown outside the vehicle, the display circuit 45 and the speaker 47 are shown.
If it is built in, it will be placed in the car. Of course, the display circuit 45 and the speaker 47 may be separately provided and installed only in the vehicle. In addition, the distance detection device 20,
Since it is costly to install the reflection plate 30 for each vehicle, it is preferable to set the reflection plate 30 so that it can be attached to and detached from the vehicle when the connecting work is performed. In addition, it is desirable that the operation of the distance detection device 20 can be turned on and off wirelessly by the driver of the railcar 13.

However, in this case, the laser rangefinder 51
There is no need to wirelessly transmit the distance information detected in. From this point of view, the vehicle connection support device according to the second embodiment of the present invention is a laser range finder 51, which processes the output signal of the laser range finder 51 and outputs a visual display signal for visual display and an auditory display for auditory display. A signal processing circuit 52 for outputting a display signal, a display circuit 53 such as an LCD, a voice synthesis circuit 54 and a speaker 55.
It consists of and. The function of each unit is the same as that shown in the first embodiment, and the description is omitted. In any of the examples, the rangefinder uses a laser beam, but
Other beam light such as an infrared beam or ultrasonic waves may be used instead of the beam.

As described above, according to the present invention, the vehicle connecting work can be performed without the guider. In addition, since there is no intervening guider in the work, the connecting work can always be performed in the same state, and the actually measured distance can be known, so that the vehicle can be moved safely. Further, since the moving speed can be made constant earlier than in the past by using the measured distance as a guide, it contributes to the reduction of the working time.
