For example, printed paper 1 as shown in Figure 4A
Assuming the planned crease lines 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d, a simple pamphlet can be made by folding in half as shown in B in the same figure along the planned fold lines 1a, and then folding it in eight as shown in C in the same figure. .

Conventionally, an index is generally constructed separately from a printed matter to which it is attached, and is attached to the printed matter. For this reason, it is necessary to print on index paper separately from the printed material to be pasted, trim it, and paste it, which takes a lot of time and labor and increases manufacturing costs.

The present invention was developed in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and provides an index that can form heading tabs without requiring special paper materials, separate printing processes, and labor for pasting. The purpose is to provide a simple pamphlet that is folded into a textbook.

The simple pamphlet with an index of the present invention created to achieve the above purpose is a printed rectangular paper, with a planned bi-fold crease line parallel to the long side of the rectangle, and a crease line of the bi-fold. At least three equally spaced planned crease lines perpendicular to the planned fold line, and two adjacent points on at least one of the planned fold line of the bi-fold and the planned crease line perpendicular thereto. A cut is made along a line that is not a straight line, and when the other planned crease lines are folded, leaving the part of the planned crease line that corresponds between the above two points unfolded, the line that is not a straight line is created. The feature is that the part surrounded by the cut has a structure that protrudes from the folded edge.

When a printed matter 3 with such cuts 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d is folded normally along the planned crease line 3a, the planned crease line between two points a and b, and the fold line between two points c and d are created. Since the bending force is not applied to the planned line, the portions surrounded by the cuts 4a to 4d are left unfolded as shown in FIG. 1C, and the tongue pieces 4a', 4b', 4c',
4d' is formed.

When the state shown in FIG. 1C is further folded along the planned crease lines 3b, 3c, and 3d,
As shown in FIG. 2, tongues 4a' to 4d' protrude from the folded edge and serve as an index.

Therefore, when folding to create a crease 3a' as shown in FIG.
The part surrounded by the line of the non-linear cut (more specifically, the part surrounded by the line of the non-straight cut and the planned crease line) protrudes from the edge of the fold 3a' and forms a tongue piece ( For example, 4a', 4b') are formed. In the present invention, the portion surrounded by the cut means the portion existing within the recess of the cut.

In addition, since it is originally a part of the printed matter 3, characters suitable for use as an index are written on this part in advance.
Graphics, colors, etc. can be printed in advance, and the increase in printing cost in this case is so small that it can be practically ignored.

In FIG. 2 showing the above-mentioned embodiment, when the surfaces P 1 , P 2 , and P 3 of the folded printed matter are viewed as constituent parts that approximate the pages of a pamphlet, the formed tongues 4a' to 4d each It protrudes from the top edge of the page.

are formed along the vertical fold lines 3d and 3b. Similarly, a tongue piece is attached to each page of a printed matter folded into multiple pages as shown in FIG.
A' to 5g' can also be provided.

As explained above, according to the indexed pamphlet of the present invention, a simple pamphlet made by making vertical and horizontal orthogonal folds on rectangular printing paper and making a book-folding version does not require separate material paper for the index configuration. The index can be formed by making the tongue protrude from the edge of the fold of the printed matter without requiring an independent printing process for configuring the index and without requiring the work of pasting the index.
