<Industrial Application Field> The present invention relates to a water-absorbing/water-retaining sheet having antibacterial properties, and relates to a sheet used for absorbing drips from foods, wrapping fresh flowers, or promoting the growth of plants and mushrooms. <Conventional technology> Conventionally, this type of sheet has a base material such as paper, nonwoven fabric, or plastic film that holds a so-called super absorbent resin that absorbs and retains water tens to thousands of times its own weight. For example, Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 103838/1983 has been used. The conventional sheet described above has the property of absorbing and retaining a large amount of moisture and gradually releasing moisture when dried, and can be used as a sheet for absorbing drips from food, etc., or for wrapping fresh flowers. It is used as a material to make it last longer, and as a special purpose, it is used as a humidity regulating material when cultivating enoki mushrooms and other crops. <Problems to be solved by the invention> However, once the above-mentioned sheet absorbs moisture, it retains that moisture for a long time and prevents the surrounding area from drying out, so if it is used for a long period of time, bacteria and mold may adhere to the sheet. had grown and occurred on the sheet. The sheets on which bacteria and mold have grown have an adverse effect on foods and fresh flowers that come into contact with them, and also pollute the atmosphere, making them unusable and having to be discarded. <Means for solving the problems> The present invention was created in view of the above problems, and does not allow the growth or generation of bacteria or mold on the sheet.
A base material made of at least a breathable/water permeable material;
Antibacterial properties obtained by replacing part of the ion-exchangeable metal of zeolite with at least one metal selected from silver, copper, or zinc in a laminate having a water absorption/water retention layer made of a super absorbent resin. This is a water-absorbing/water-retaining sheet having antibacterial properties, which is a laminate that holds zeolite, and is characterized in that the antibacterial zeolite is provided at a position where it comes into contact with air. <Function> In the water-absorbing/water-retaining sheet with antibacterial properties according to the present invention, the water-absorbing/water-retaining layer absorbs and retains a large amount of moisture, and gradually releases moisture when the atmosphere is dry. In addition, the antibacterial zeolite held in the sheet exhibits antibacterial properties by activating oxygen in the air it comes into contact with, thereby preventing the generation and proliferation of mold and other bacteria. <Example> Next, the present invention will be further explained based on the drawings. FIG. 1 is a sectional view showing one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view showing another embodiment. The base material 1 used in the present invention is one that has air permeability and water permeability, and in addition to paper, nonwoven fabric, microporous plastic membrane, etc., a plastic film with countless holes formed by an appropriate method can also be used. be able to. Furthermore, a laminate of these materials may be used as necessary. The water absorption/water retention layer 2 is essentially a super absorbent resin 5
An adhesive binder, an inorganic filler, etc. can be added as necessary. To provide the water absorption/water retention layer 2, on the base material 1, etc.
This can be done by applying the water-absorbing resin 5, etc. Further, the superabsorbent resin 5 may be sandwiched between two base materials 1 or between the base material 1 and another film-like material 6 as shown in FIG. In this case, a method is possible in which the adhesive 7 is pattern-coated and the superabsorbent resin is provided in the areas where the adhesive 7 is not present. The water-absorbing/water-retaining sheet according to the present invention includes a sheet having at least the base material 1 and the water-absorbing/water-retaining layer 2 described above, and further retaining antibacterial zeolite 3. The antibacterial zeolite 3 referred to in this invention is
60-181002, JP-A-60-100504, etc., a part or substantially all of the ion-exchangeable metals contained in zeolite are at least selected from silver, copper, or zinc. It is obtained by ion exchange with a type of metal. Various methods can be used to retain the antibacterial zeolite 3 in the sheet. When the antibacterial zeolite 3 is held directly in the base material 1, an appropriate amount of the antibacterial zeolite 3 that has been crushed to a level that can be mixed into the base material raw material may be mixed in the paper making or film forming stage. At this time, an adhesive binder can be added if necessary. In order to hold the antibacterial zeolite 3 on the base material 1, as shown in FIG. This is also possible by providing Furthermore, in order to retain the antibacterial zeolite 3 in the sheet, the antibacterial zeolite 3 may be mixed into the super water absorbent resin forming the water absorption/water retention layer 2, as shown in FIG. The position where the antibacterial zeolite 3 is held must be at least a position where air comes into contact with it.
This is because, as mentioned above, the antibacterial properties of antibacterial zeolite 3 are obtained by activating oxygen in the air. In addition, the antibacterial zeolite 3 should be placed adjacent to layers where mold and other bacteria are likely to grow and multiply, such as the water absorption/water retention layer 2 or the base material 1 when the base material 1 is paper, nonwoven fabric, etc. It is preferable that This is because the range of antibacterial activity of antibacterial zeolite 3 is about 1 to several mm. Of course, the antibacterial zeolite 3 may be provided at multiple locations by the method described above. Next, an example of creating the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 will be described. A paint consisting of antibacterial zeolite 3 mixed with an adhesive binder is applied onto a base material 1 made of paper.
Antibacterial layer 4 was provided by coating 15 μm. On the antibacterial layer 4, a superabsorbent resin 5 made of a starch-acrylic acid graft polymer was spray-coated with a solid content of 2.5 g/m 2 together with an adhesive binder to provide a water absorbing/water retaining layer 2. Separately, a base material 1' made of a nonwoven fabric mixed with about 3% by weight of antibacterial zeolite 3 during manufacturing is prepared, and the base material 1' is placed on the water absorbing/water retaining layer 2 of the sheet prepared as described above. The antibacterial water-absorbing/water-retaining sheet according to the present invention was prepared by laminating the sheets with adhesive 7 in between. In order to examine the antibacterial properties of the antibacterial water-absorbing/water-retaining sheet obtained as described above, after the sheet had sufficiently absorbed moisture, (a) Staphylococcus aureus (10 6 / cc concentration) suspension (b) A suspension of Aspergillus niger spores (10 6 /cc concentration) was sprayed at 10 c.c./100 cm 2 , respectively, and cultured in a constant temperature bath at 37°C for a predetermined period of time. In addition, for comparison, a sheet with the same structure that did not contain antibacterial zeolite 3 was prepared and tested in the same manner. The results are shown in the table below.

[Table] <Effects of the invention> The present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, and the bacteria and mold that adhere to the sheet are bacteriostatic or sterilized by the antibacterial power of the antibacterial zeolite, and the sheet itself becomes contaminated and becomes unusable. There is no risk of pollution and the atmosphere will not be polluted. Furthermore, even when used as a humidity control material in the artificial cultivation of mushrooms, the antibacterial activity acts only near the surface of the sheet, so the growth of mushrooms will not be inhibited.
