ことになるので適当な時期にバラストの交換が行
われることが必要なのである。このためにトロリ
ーがバラスト運搬に使用されていたが、このバラ
スト交換は列車走行の無い夜間の限られた時間内
に行うと云う実情上トロリーでは作業効率が悪い
のである。即ち、鉄道所有のトロリーの台数に制
限のあること、駐留所から作業現場迄の所要時間
のロス、トロリーの予定とそれに関係する指揮
者、運転者等の人員予定のロス等のために作業効
率が悪いと云う欠点があつた。

在せしめて楔作用を利用して両者が強固に連結さ

重荷に耐え、且つ、トラツク車体は安定した状態
で運行され、而かも、運行中レールがカーブした
処でも安定した走行を為し得て、安全性も充分で
あつて、バラスト等の運搬上、まことに優れた装
置を達成し得たものである。
