Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate an integrated circuit stably and safely by a method wherein the physical or chemical state at the inside or the outside of the integrated circuit is detected easily. CONSTITUTION:An integrated circuit 10 is constituted of an electric circuit 2, a sensor circuit 11 and a control circuit 14. The electric circuit 2 processes signals which are input to input terminal 3A to 3N, and outputs them from output terminals 5A to 5N. The sensor circuit 11 detects the physical or chemical state at the inside or the outside of the integrated circuit 10 and outputs it from sensor-circuit output terminals 12A to 12N. The control circuit 14 controls the electric circuit 2 in such a way that an electronic apparatus using the integrated circuit 10 can be operated stably and safely.
