ラ本体の懸架部分が取れないとかマフラ本体の容量自体
が十分に確保できないといった弊害が生じてきたのであ
る。本発明は、マニホルド式のマフラー構造を踏襲しな
がら、ボンネット高さの低下や曲面化といったエンジン
ルームスペースの制約があっても、強度十分、かつ、容
量十分なマフラーを装備できるようにすることを目的と
する。

に貫通させて溶着固定するとともに、潰し加工された潰
し先端部15aをマフラ本体14の側面に外周面レベル
を合わせた状態で挿入して溶着固定してある。つまり、

ニホルドパイプ15には、マフラ本体14内部において
多数の少孔による排気出口17を形成してあるととも
に、排気マニホルド13との連結部であるフランジ15
bを備えてある。マフラ本体14内部は第1〜第4膨張
室18,19,20,21に分割され、インナパイプ2
2と排気パイプ23等によって第1膨張室18に入った
排気は、第2膨張室19、第4膨張室21、そして第3
