(Prior art) For interior materials such as ceiling materials for vehicles such as automobiles,
A resin part with a skin material is used. In order to manufacture such resin parts, for example, a method is used in which molten resin is jetted into a mold cavity in which a skin material is sandwiched in advance, thereby fixing the skin material and resin base material together and molding them into a desired shape. It is being

However, in this method, when the base resin is injected into the cavity, the resin flows while contacting the skin material, so the skin material partially expands and contracts due to the flow resistance of the resin, which causes molding. Wrinkles and flow patterns remain on the surface of the product, resulting in defects in appearance. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary for the skin material to be placed along the mold surface, but conventionally, for example, a weight was hung from the bottom edge of the skin material so that tension was applied to the skin material when the mold was closed. A similar device was used.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, with this conventional device, it takes time and effort to suspend weights each time molding is performed, and the skin material cannot be continuously wound, resulting in poor productivity. The weight of the weight must be changed depending on the type of resin and the size and shape of the molded product, making the molding operation complicated and making it difficult to adequately deal with small variations in conditions.

As mentioned above, the means for applying tension to the skin material in the cavity in the longitudinal direction (winding direction) in the molding process is to use a fixed roller and a pair of fixed rollers to fix the skin material when the mold is closed. A pressure roller is used which presses against the roller side to apply a predetermined tension to the skin material and which is movable in the mold closing direction in order to adjust the tension. This results in
One or both longitudinal ends of the skin material can be easily bent and adjusted so that the skin material held between the molds has a length that corresponds to the unevenness of the mold surface.

The fixed roller and the pressure roller may be attached to the mold or may be provided at another location, for example near the mold. In addition, it can be fully automated by detecting the tension applied to the skin material with a sensor, comparing this detected value with a preset value, and automatically operating the pressure roller according to the difference. It is possible to make a device for supplying skin material to a mold.

(Function) The means for applying tension to the skin material consists of a fixed roller and a pressing roller, and the pressing roller is movable in the mold closing direction to adjust the tension, so excessive tension may not be applied to the skin material. It is possible to prevent problems such as poor molding of the skin material due to the molding of the skin material. Moreover, the fixed roller and the pressing roller make it possible to apply a predetermined tension to the skin material and maintain this tension, and the tension can be easily adjusted.

Embodiment 1 FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a device for supplying a skin material to a mold according to the present invention. The part of the skin material 3 that is unwound from the roll 1 and wound onto the winding shaft of the roll 2 that passes between the male molding die 4 and the female molding die 5 is connected to the male molding die 4. Close the mold while pressing. At this time, the skin material 3 on the roll 2 side is clamped and fixed by the clamp 6 to prevent the roll 2 from rotating in the opposite direction. When the skin material 3 is pressed against the female mold 5 using the male mold 4, the skin material 3 is first pressed against one end surface of the male mold 4 by the pressing roller 7 and fixed roller 8. When the mold is further closed, tension is applied to the skin material 3, and the skin material 3 is disposed along the mold surfaces of the male molding die 4 and the female molding die 5. For the pressing roller 7 and the fixed roller 8, one pair having a roller portion having a length suitable for the width of the skin material 3 may be used, or two or more pairs having a roller portion having a short length may be used. Further, the length of the handle of the pressure roller 7 can be adjusted in the mold closing direction using a resilient means such as a spring, as shown in FIG. 2 (a perspective view of the handle surrounded by a broken line in FIG. 1). It is designed to be expandable and contractible (the pressing roller 7 is movable in the mold closing direction) so that appropriate tension is applied to the skin material 3. Also, the roll 1 is configured to rotate when the skin material 3 is pulled with a force greater than a predetermined tension, or the tension applied to the skin material 3 is detected by a tension meter, and this value matches the set value. It may also be configured to rotate automatically. After applying a certain tension through the above operation, a base resin such as polypropylene was injected into the cavity to form an automobile ceiling material, and a ceiling material with a desirable skin appearance without wrinkles or flow patterns on the surface was obtained. It was done.

Embodiment 2 FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, tension applying means consisting of a fixed roller 10 and a pressure roller 11 were provided on the roll 1 side and the roll 2 side. In the step of closing the skin material 3 using the male molding die 4 and the female molding die 5, after clamping and fixing the skin material 3 with the clamps 6, the skin material 3 is removed by moving the pressure roller 11 to the right in the figure. Adjust the tension applied to 3. Immediately before mold closing, the press roller 11
Conversely, by moving to the left in the figure, tension is applied to the skin material 3. In this embodiment, the tension applying means consisting of the fixed roller 10 and the pressing roller 11 is provided on both the roll 1 side and the roll 2 side, but it may be provided only on either one side.

The different types of fixed rollers and pressure rollers used in Examples 1 and 2 above can be used in combination, and the size, shape, number, etc. of the skin material, mold, and unwinding/winding means may vary. The roller should be optimally selected depending on the type, size, shape, performance, molding conditions, etc., but it is clear that various modifications are also possible.

FIG. 4 shows the skin material 3 that has been trimmed for molding after the molding process is completed. Since the skin material 3 after molding is continuously wound up on the roll 2, it is no longer necessary to remove it after each molding step as in the conventional method, which greatly improves work efficiency.

Comparative Example FIG. 5 shows an example of a conventional tensioning device for comparison. Conventionally, the upper end of the skin material 3 was clamped by a clamp 6 equipped with a spring 12, and then the weight 13 was suspended from the lower end of the skin material 3 and the mold was closed while applying tension, so the weight 13 did not need to be attached or removed each time molding was performed. In addition, the molding process becomes very complicated, such as using different weights 13 depending on the type of skin material 3, etc.
Furthermore, the molding efficiency was also poor.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, when molding a resin part having a skin material, the device for supplying a skin material to a mold of the present invention uses a fixed roller and a pressing roller to apply the skin material when closing the mold. Since a predetermined tension is applied, it is possible to gently apply tension to the entire skin material without applying excessive stress to a part of the skin material, and therefore, the skin material is not damaged at this time. Therefore, it is possible to prevent molding defects from occurring. Further, by using a fixed roller and a pressing roller, a predetermined tension can be applied to the skin material and this tension can be maintained, and since the tension can be easily adjusted, the operation is simple.

Furthermore, when the skin material is supplied using the apparatus of the present invention, the skin material is placed along the mold surface when the mold is closed, so that there are no wrinkles or resin flow patterns on the surface of the skin material when resin is injected. It is possible to obtain a resin part having an excellent appearance without causing any defects in appearance. or,
Compared to the case of using a conventional tensioning device that uses weights, it is possible to perform molding while continuously winding up the skin material, and various modifications, combinations, and arrangements of fixed rollers and pressing rollers are possible. Therefore, it can be applied to various skin materials, base resins, and molds, and can quickly respond to changes in raw materials, molding conditions, etc.
It has a great effect on improving molding work efficiency and product quality.
