2. Description of the Related Art Copper refining by an electrolytic method is widely used. In this method, an anode is usually made of impure copper, and pure copper is electrodeposited on the surface of a cathode plate immersed in an electrolytic cell. As the cathode plate, there is a part using a titanium plate, but since the metal itself is expensive and the workability is difficult, there is a drawback that it becomes expensive, and the suspension bar made of copper is used. A stainless steel plate screwed to the bottom is generally widely used.

However, in the cathode plate for copper refining using the stainless steel plate of the conventional example, since the stainless steel plate to be the electrode is fixed by screwing, contact resistance is generated at that portion. There was a problem that the electrical conductivity was poor. Therefore, it is theoretically possible to directly weld a stainless steel plate to a copper rod, but copper and stainless steel are not very familiar and the weldability is poor. There was a problem that the sex deteriorates. In addition, the suspension rod made of copper is gradually corroded by the electrolytic solution, resulting in a short service life. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a cathode plate for copper refining, which has good electric conductivity, long life, and low cost.

A method according to the above-mentioned object.
The copper refining cathode plate described above comprises a suspension rod having current-carrying parts on both sides and a core made of copper, and a stainless steel electrode plate suspended below the suspension rod. The plate is nickel clad except for the portions of the suspension rod other than the current-carrying parts on both sides, and the electrode plate is welded to the nickel clad surface of the lower portion of the suspension rod. The nickel clad described above includes a clad made of pure nickel as well as a clad of a nickel alloy containing nickel as a main component.

In the copper refining cathode plate according to the present invention, the surface of the suspension rod is nickel clad, and the stainless electrode plate is welded to the nickel clad portion under the suspension rod. Is good. Therefore, cracking or the like does not occur during use, and thus the electrical conductivity does not deteriorate. Furthermore, since a nickel clad is formed around the suspension rod, it is excellent in corrosiveness with respect to the electrolytic solution and has a long life.

As is apparent from the above description, the cathode plate for copper refining according to the present invention has nickel clad on the surface of the suspension rod, and the upper end of the electrode plate made of stainless steel is nickel-plated on the suspension rod. Since it is welded to the clad, the electrical conductivity does not deteriorate due to poor contact with the copper stainless plate as in the conventional case. Furthermore, since the nickel clad of the suspension rod and the electrode plate made of stainless steel have good weldability, welding can be completed completely and cracks and the like are less likely to occur during use, which further improves the electrical conductivity. In addition, since the surface of the suspension rod is nickel clad, the corrosion resistance to the electrolytic solution is also improved, and thus a long life can be obtained.
