2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, spiked tires have been generally used when a vehicle travels on a snowy and snowy road surface, but they have been prohibited because of serious social problems such as damage to the road surface and generation of dust. Instead of this, a studless tire will be used, and various studies have been made to improve the slip resistance.

For example, fine air bubbles are added to a tire tread, fibers of collagen protein which is the main component of leather in rubber (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2-219837, 2-235980), short vegetable fibers or shells of walnuts. Powder is added to improve the slip resistance. However, the performance cannot be said to be sufficient, and for example, even if the slip resistance is solved to some extent, the wear resistance often becomes extremely poor.

Further, as a bottom material for footwear, a material having urethane as a base material is often used as a material having good slip resistance, but it has a drawback that it has poor wear resistance. Conventionally used rubber-based materials have good wear resistance, but have the drawback of slippery on ice and snow roads.

The keratin powder referred to in the present invention is fibrous keratin powder such as animal hair fiber and feather fiber, or amorphous keratin powder such as horns and hooves, of which fibrous keratin is particularly preferred. Animal hair means animal hair obtained from animals such as sheep, goats, rabbits, camels, and alpaca, and feathers include poultry such as chickens, ducks, gooses, water birds such as ducks, pigeons, It means feathers obtained from birds such as ostriches. In the present invention, a powder obtained by crushing these is used. Average particle size of keratin powder is 1 μm
It is preferably 1 mm or less and more preferably 10 μm
˜200 μm is preferable. The grinding method is, for example, freeze grinding.

The keratin powder may be used alone or in combination. The total addition amount of these is generally 1 to 100 parts by weight, preferably 20 to 80 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the rubber component. If it is more than this range, the wear resistance is lowered, and if it is less than this, the slip resistance is lowered.

Test method Friction resistance index Tests were carried out using a constant speed rotary disc type friction tester. Ice having a smooth surface was fixed on a rotating disk having a diameter of about 20 cm, and a 3 cm × 5 cm test piece was pressed against this with a constant load (500 g). The frictional force applied to the test piece when the rotating disk was rotated at a constant speed was detected by a load cell. The value (index) is shown when the frictional force of the comparative sample is 100, and the larger the value, the better the frictional force, that is, the slip resistance.

Abrasion resistance index In the above test method, the asphalt was used as the surface material of the rotating plate, and the abrasion resistance ratio of the comparative sample was calculated as 100 from the residual amount ratio (abrasion resistance ratio) when rotating for a certain period of time. The value (index) when The larger the value, the better the wear resistance.
