Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cloth having particular pattern with partly different glass by carrying out the alkali-treatment of a cloth manufactured from a splittable polyester conjugate fiber composed of a component scarcely soluble in alkali and a component easily soluble in alkali. CONSTITUTION:An alkali-containing printing paste is printed to a cloth manufactured from a splittable polyester conjugate fiber composed of a component scarcely soluble in alkali (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) and a component easily soluble in alkali (e.g. a polyester copolymerized with 5-sulfoisophthalic acid). The printed cloth is heat-treated to split the single fiber of the alkali- treated part or to form edge-like recesses in the direction of the fiber length. The alkali-treated part causes irregular reflection of light to develop white opaque gloss and, accordingly, the obtained polyester cloth has gloss difference between the alkali-treated part and the non-treated part.

The present invention will be described in detail below. In the present invention, a polyester-based split fiber type composite fiber composed of an alkali hardly soluble component and an alkali easily soluble component is used for at least a part of the yarn constituting the cloth. The polyester split fiber type composite fiber composed of an alkali hardly soluble component and an alkali easily soluble component is, for example, in a fiber single yarn cross section as shown in FIG.
It is a fiber obtained by arranging a polyester-based polymer which is a component hardly soluble in alkali and a polyester-based polymer which is a component easily dissolved in alkali, and which is subjected to composite spinning and stretching at a weight ratio of 1: 5 to 5: 1. The number of divisions of the polyester split fiber type composite fiber is preferably 4 or more. If it is less than 4 divisions, even if the single yarn is split by alkali treatment, the pattern due to the difference in gloss, which is a feature of the present invention, becomes monotonous.

A cloth using polyester split fiber type composite fibers is subjected to alkali treatment. Alkali treatment is performed by applying an alkali-containing printing paste to a desired pattern on a fabric using polyester split fiber composite fibers, drying and then heat-treating with dry heat or wet heat to neutralize and wash. It means that the easily soluble alkali component is removed.

After the alkali treatment, the single filament of the polyester split fiber type composite fiber dissolves the alkali easily soluble component and splits, or edging-like depressions are formed in the length direction of the fiber. The alkali-treated portion shows a white opaque luster due to diffuse reflection of light as if the transparent ice was shattered into pieces.

EXAMPLES Examples of the present invention will be described below. Fibers obtained by composite spinning and stretching at a weight ratio of 1: 1 using a polymer in which 2.5 mol% of 5-sulfoisophthalic acid is copolymerized with polyethylene terephthalate as an alkali easily soluble component and polyethylene terephthalate as an alkali hardly soluble component are shown in FIG. Polyester split-type composite fiber with single fiber cross section
A plain woven fabric having a warp density of 95 yarns / inch and a weft density of 95 yarns / inch was woven by using yarns twisted in a S direction of 500 T / m in 100 denier / 24 filament for warp and weft. This greige machine was heat set at 180 ° C, scoured with anionic surfactant, dried, printed with the following special printing paste, steamed for 15 minutes after hot air drying, and sizing while rubbing the fabric in a hot water bath. Was removed, washed in a PH4.5 bath containing acetic acid, washed with water, dried and subjected to finishing heat setting to obtain a special patterned fabric of the present invention.

[Effect] As described above, according to the present invention, due to the characteristics of the yarn used, the fabric in which the alkali-dissolvable component in the portion printed with the alkali-containing printing paste is melt-processed has a hue which has never been obtained.
A fabric with a special pattern exhibiting gloss can be obtained, and there is no defect that the texture becomes hard, and for those requiring flameproofness, sufficient flameproofness can be obtained by ordinary flameproofing.
