は、管軸に対し直角方向に取付けられた軸12
a,13aに軸着されているため、シームガイド
フイン12及びサポートロール13は、管軸に対
し上下方向及び直角方向にのみ移動可能で、その
結果素材の捻れ調整は、主にシームガイドフイン
を管軸に対し直角方向に移動することにより行わ

微調整装置36によつてサポートロール32,3
3,33′を拡縮して未溶接管体11を管軸に対
し垂直方向に押圧し正確に芯出しを行うようにす
る。このとき未溶接管体11は、シームガイドフ
イン31を含むサポートロール32により所定の
形状に保持されているが、素材である帯鋼にロー
リングと呼ばれる捻れ現象が発生するとエツジ部
のV収束点は適正な進入位置から外れ、溶接ロー
ルの中央部より逸脱し、突合せ形状不良などの不
良品を発生することになる。そこで前記捻れを修
正するため、未溶接管体11をシームガイドフイ
ン31を含むサポートロール32により所定の形
状を保持したままで、ヘツド回動装置41により
ヘツド35とともに管軸を中心に前記捻れの方向
と逆の方向に回転する。この場合サポートロール
32,33,33′に包囲された未溶接管体11
は、開口部の一方のエツジ部18にシームガイド
フイン31が強く押し当てられることとならない
ため、開口部の片寄り、V収束角の異常又はエツ
ジ部の損傷等を発生することなく、所定の形状を
保持したままV収束点を溶接ロールの中央部に導
くことが可能である。

ツジの痛み又は溶接ロールに入る前の管体の形状
のくずれ等が防止でき、これらの調整のための機
械停止の減少、作業性の向上、品質向上などにお
いて極めて有効である。そして、シームガイド装
置を通過した後の未溶接管体は、その位置ずれが
矯正された状態で後工程へと流れるので、後工程
の作業を精度良く行なうことができる。
