To generate ozone inside the filter rather than separately from the filter and to pass this ozone with water through the filter, thereby decomposing nitrogen-based dirt adsorbed on the filter. Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a novel sterilization filter device capable of extending the life of the filter medium.

11), a filtrate outlet (112) is provided in the upper part of the side wall (110), and an activated stone filter medium (14) is provided in the main body (11) just below the outlet (112). Filter material (1
4) is supported by a perforated plate. An air jet nozzle (16) is provided below the filter medium (14) and immediately above the raw water inlet (111), and air is supplied from the outside through a pipe (15). An ultraviolet lamp (13) extending between the filter medium (14) and the nozzle (16) is provided.
3) is housed in a protection tube (not shown), a terminal for supplying electricity is provided at the upper end, and is exposed to the outside of the filter body (11).

The basalt material is processed into a porous ceramic ball and stored in a net. Dirt is adsorbed, aerated with ozone, oxidatively decomposed and gasified, and removed from the degassing pipe (17). The filter medium made of basalt processed into a ceramic ball shape (particularly, a konpeito shape) has the following advantages. (1) Chlorine adsorption rate is slow. (2) Adsorption capacity is three times that of activated carbon. (3) Good reproduction ability. (4) It has a catalytic action. (5) The amount used may be half that of activated carbon. (6) The material adsorption capacity is stabilized. Cleaning with activated stones other than basalt was done once every three months, but with basalt, cleaning once every three years was sufficient.
