This invention is an antibacterial futon, cushion,
This relates to filling materials for pillows, etc. The filling material of futons is placed in an environment where bacteria and mold can easily grow due to the large amount of sweat released by the human body while sleeping, and bacteria and mold that grow on the filling material are exposed to sunlight and heat. It is not easily sterilized even if it is shaken. Such bacteria and molds are dispersed into the air by external impact and enter the human body through the mouth, nose, etc., causing various diseases. The present invention utilizes the strong bactericidal properties of metallic copper and also uses other antibacterial agents to provide a sanitary filling material that does not generate bacteria or mold. As shown in Figure 1, the filter consists of 5 to 20% copper-containing fibers 1 on which metallic copper is adsorbed or adhered to the fiber surface or inside the fibers, and antibacterial fibers 2 to which a quaternary ammonium salt is attached as an antibacterial agent. This is a stuffing made by blending 10 to 50% of cotton into the main fiber used for stuffing. 4 in the figure is the side land. Copper-containing fibers are produced, for example, by plating the surface of the fiber with copper, or by treating the fiber with copper sulfate to adsorb copper ions, and then using a reducing agent to reduce and precipitate fine metallic copper within or on the surface of the fiber. or copper fine fibers may be used, but the first two are useful as the filling material. These fibers impart a bactericidal effect to the filling due to the bactericidal properties of copper adsorbed or attached to their surfaces or inside. In order to obtain a sufficient bactericidal effect of the filling, it is necessary to mix 3 to 20% by weight of the copper-containing fiber with respect to the filling.
If it is less than 3%, the bactericidal effect will be small, and if it is more than 20%, the bactericidal effect will no longer change, and on the contrary, it will adversely affect the bulkiness and elasticity of the filling, which is not preferable. On the other hand, quaternary ammonium salts are used as the antibacterial agent, and in the present invention, fibers to which 1% by weight or more, preferably 1.5% by weight or more of the antibacterial agent is attached are used as antibacterial fibers. This antibacterial fiber is mixed in 10-50% by weight with respect to the filling. If it is less than 10%, the antibacterial effect will be small, and if it is more than 50%, the antibacterial effect will no longer improve, and the bulkiness and feel of the filling will be impaired, which is rather undesirable. As the antibacterial fiber, it is preferable to use the same kind of fiber as the main fiber for the filling, which has been treated with antibacterial treatment. In the present invention, the above-mentioned copper-containing fiber and antibacterial fiber are mixed with various fibers to form a filling, and such a filling is extremely hygienic because it does not sterilize, does not generate or grow mold, and can be used as a futon. , cushions, pillows, etc., and are especially suitable for futons. Table 1 shows the results of mold and sterilization tests to confirm the effectiveness of the present invention. In Table 1, copper-containing fibers are acrylic fibers with fine metal copper adsorbed, and antibacterial fibers are acrylic fibers with quaternary ammonium salts (organosilicon quaternary ammonium salts).
The polyester fibers attached in weight percent and the main fibers for filling are polyester fibers. The mold growth test is based on JISZ2911, and the bacterial growth test is based on Halo.
This was done using -test.
