(Industrial Application Field) This invention relates to a mattress using hard cotton as the stuffing, and is particularly effective for preventing bedsores in patients. (Prior art) Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 55-7169 describes a mattress using hard cotton as the stuffing, which has a comparatively thin outer layer made of synthetic fiber staples on the front and back sides of a relatively thick middle fiber layer made of rayon staples. One using hard cotton with stacked fiber layers and needling, the other using a mixed web of thick denier rayon staples and polyester staples for the intermediate fiber layer, and the cotton fiber web for the outer fiber layer. things are remembered. The needle density of the needling was such that the outer fiber layer was larger than the intermediate fiber layer, and the outer fiber layer was made harder than the intermediate fiber layer. (Problems that the invention aims to solve) In conventional mattresses, the outer fiber layers on the front and back are thinner and harder than the middle fiber layer, so there is less fluff and moisture absorption and dispersion are good. It is washable and hygienic, and the body does not sink, making it easy to turn over in bed. A large amount of pressure is applied to the protrusions over a long period of time, and bacteria tend to grow due to incontinence and become unclean, resulting in bedsores. This invention provides a mattress that can disperse bedding pressure, is easy to turn over, is hygienic and healthy because it has little bacterial growth, and can prevent bedsores. . (Means for solving the problem) In a mattress in which hard cotton formed by intertwining fiber webs by needling is enclosed in a wrapping cloth, the above hard cotton is antibacterial treated and needled. The upper layer hard cotton has a relatively low needle density and is relatively thick, the middle layer hard cotton has a medium needle density and thickness for needling, and the It is formed by integrating a small lower layer of hard cotton by needling. (Function) A density gradient is created so that the upper layer of hard cotton has a lower density and the lower layer has a higher density. The upper layer is relatively soft and thick, and the lower layer is relatively hard and thin, so it The pressure applied to protruding parts of the body, such as the greater trochanter and scapula, is dispersed to the surrounding areas, and the body is prevented from sinking too much. In addition, the upper layer of hard cotton is treated with antibacterial treatment, which suppresses the growth of bacteria.
The generation of bad odors is prevented. In this case, the preferable basis weight is 250 to 530 g/m 2 for the upper layer hard cotton, middle layer hard cotton, and lower layer hard cotton, respectively.
The total is 800-1800g/ m2 , and the needle density (thickness)
The upper layer of hard cotton is 8 to 12 pieces/cm 2 (thickness 15 to 40 mm),
The middle layer hard cotton is 8 to 12 pieces/cm 2 (thickness 10 to 25 mm), and the lower layer hard cotton is 10 to 14 pieces/cm 2 (thickness 7 to 20 mm). The needle density for needling after layering three layers of hard cotton is 5 to 8 needles/cm 2 from the top layer and 5 needles/cm 2 from the bottom layer.
It is preferable to set the number to 7 pieces/cm 3 and the thickness to 15 to 45 mm. Further, the fiber web is preferably a mixed web of 8/2 to 5/5 polyester fiber and rayon fiber, or a web made of hygroscopic polyester fiber. (Example) In the drawings, 1 is a wrapping cloth, 2 is hard cotton, and the hard cotton 2 is formed by integrating an upper layer hard cotton 2a, a middle layer hard cotton 2b, and a lower layer hard cotton 2c by needling. The upper layer hard cotton 2a was treated with 3-trimethoxysilylpropyl octadesilidi-methyl ammonium chloride (an antibacterial agent manufactured by Dow Corning),
A fiber web with a basis weight of 480 g/m 2 made of 13 denier polyester fiber with antibacterial and deodorizing properties is formed into a 30 mm thick fiber web by needling at a density of 10 needles. In addition, the middle layer hard cotton 2a was formed by needling a fiber web with a basis weight of 480 g/m 2 made of 10 denier polyester fibers treated to give it hygroscopicity and a thickness of 20 mm at a needle density of 12 needles/cm 2 . It is something. In addition, the lower layer hard cotton 2c is made of the same fiber web as the middle layer hard cotton 2b with a needle density of 13.
It was formed to a thickness of 20 mm by needling at 2 cm2. And these upper layer hard cotton 2a,
The middle layer hard cotton 2b and the lower layer hard cotton 2c are stacked and needled from the upper layer side and the lower layer side at a needle density of 6 needles/cm 2 respectively to obtain a total basis weight of 1300 g/m 2 and a thickness of 35 mm.
A hard cotton 2 is formed. On the other hand, wrapping cloth 1 is 40/2
It is made of a mesh fabric in which count polyester fiber yarn and 30/2 count cotton yarn are inter-knitted, with the polyester fiber yarn being placed on the outside and the cotton yarn being placed on the inside. Regarding the mattress of the above example, the bedding pressure (g/cm 2 ) at the shoulder blade and sacrum of the human body,
Performance tests were conducted on airflow rate (/min), moisture absorption rate (%), moisture permeability (%), and bacterial growth status. The results are shown in the table below. In addition, the results for a conventional mattress made of hard cotton (Comparative Example 1) and a mattress made of pomegranate cotton (Comparative Example 2) are also shown.

[Table] As is clear from the table above, the mattress of the example has the lowest bedding pressure, the highest amount of ventilation, and
The moisture absorption rate and moisture permeability are comparable to those of Comparative Example 2 (plum cotton). Moreover, in the embodiment, the upper hard cotton layer 2a has antibacterial and deodorizing properties, so even when a sick person becomes incontinent, the proliferation of bacteria is significantly lower than in other cases, and there is no generation of bad odor, and cleanliness is maintained. dripping In the above embodiment, antibacterial-treated fibers may be used for both the upper hard cotton layer 2a and the middle hard cotton layer 2b. (Effects of the invention) This invention uses hard cotton with a density gradient, making the upper layer relatively soft and thick and the lower layer relatively hard and thin. The added bedding properties are dispersed and breathable.
It has excellent moisture absorption and breathability, and is easy to turn over, and the upper hard cotton layer is treated with antibacterial treatment, so even in the event of incontinence, there is extremely little bacterial growth, so the surface remains clean and does not generate bad odors. This prevents bedsores, making it ideal for long-term care for patients.
